| The office of Taoiseach is the highest executive office in the
| |
| Grand Commonwealth. The Taoiseach is elected by the
| |
| Majlis-i-Dharma at the beginning of each session, and remains in
| |
| office unless the MiD passes a motion of no-confidence. The Taoiseach
| |
| derives their power from the Charter of the Grand Commonwealth.
| |
| In effect, the Taoiseach has full executive power over the nations
| |
| affairs. The first Taoiseach, Lachlan Powers, introduced a system
| |
| of Advisors to delegate some of the authority vested in the role to
| |
| other citizens. There have been calls however for a formal system of
| |
| Ministers to be introduced.
