History
In August 2005, Danny Wallace made a show on major British television channel BBC in which he worked to create his own nation. A group of micronationalists under the leadership of Nick Leghorn and Behmanesh Farzan decided to approach Wallace and ask for a treaty with his country as a publicity stunt. Farzan phoned into the show and convinced Wallace to participate; the treaty was signed on air, giving most of the micronations involved their first television coverage.

Treaty of Mutual Recognition and Support AFFIRMING the spirit of friendship and cooperation on which relations between the following nations are based, and wishing to place their relations on an even closer and more solid foundation; AFFIRMING that all nations formally recognise and respect each other as independent and sovereign nations. ACKNOWLEDGING the importance to each nation of the relationship and the close connection between them; RESOLVED to evaluate and pursue opportunities for their governments and their peoples to work even closer together in a spirit of understanding on matters of mutual interest; CONVINCED of the importance of creating, developing and maintaining relations on an equitable and mutually advantageous basis in a long-term perspective; RECOGNISING that cooperation between the nations should have their common interest in the prosperity and welfare of both nations; BE IT RESOLVED THAT: 1. The Stratocracy of Treithar, The Dinarchy of Antica, the Viking Empire of Stormark, the Imperial Republic of Shireroth, the Sovereign Imperial Kingdom of Natopia, the Solomonic Empire of Attera, the Republic of Anthelia and the United Countries of Riponia [hereafter referred to as “the aforementioned nations”] do hereby recognise and respect the existence, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of King Danny Wallace's as-yet unnamed nation. 2. King Danny Wallace's as-yet unnamed nation recognises and respects the existence, independence sovereignty and territorial integrity of the aforementioned nations. 3. Ambassadors shall be sent by the aforementioned nations to King Danny Wallace's as-yet unnamed nation. 4.
