Negative Energy Transmission Technology was a major source of electric power in the United Imperium c. 2000-2001.

In layman's terms, negative energy or "bad vibes" from the numerous flame wars of micronationry of the period were gathered electromagnetically, and the frequency and polarity transformed, resulting in clean, usuable electric power.

Originally power was gathered by dishes similar to microwave antennae along the borders and on mountain peaks. Later, after the completion of a liquid hydrogen/oxygen fuel plant, satellites were launched from Phylopolis to gather the power from space.

The demise of Casual Forums and the later decline of ezBoard seriously reduced the source of the NETT, leading in part to the decline of the Imperium.

In 5916 ASC, Yardistan Launched the first NETT satellite (NETTstar 1)in five millennia. Soon a globe girdling system of NETTstars circled the planet.

Most of its input was rumored to be from the enslaved populations of Appolonia, which created a certain moral dilemna.
