The Day of Mourning, on the 11th July, is a holiday that reminds people of the destruction of the past, and the will to continue.
For the Soloralists, it is a holiday about quintessential balance, to overcome the self's own biases for one day to realize that in the end, balance of the universe is more important than conquest or revenge.
