The Zatriarchate of Matbaa is a Assyrian- and Syriac-themed micronation founded by Max Edwards in December 2005. Matbaa was founded by Edwards following his exit from Kemetia, which he would later classify as a "slightly unstable and highly inactive" micronation after being rejected for the position of foreign minister by Kemetia's King Adam. After a successful year of active existence, Matbaa fell largely into inactivity during 2007 despite several attempts at reinvigorating the micronation.
