The Elfinshi War (1488-1489) was a conflict between the Baron of Elwynn and the Duke of Hyperborea, waged in the midst of a sectarian conflict between the Elw and the Elfinshi ethnic groups of Elwynn which culminated in what has been regarded as a genocide of the latter group and the burning of the Forest of Elwynn.
