| Out of the total population of about 8 714 600 people, 90.4% or 7 878 000, speak Lakhesian as a first language. The largest minority are Shirerithian English, comprising about 540 300 or 6.2% of the population, mainly in the northeastern part of the Nation and in Mortis Mercatoria. There is also a small community of Yardistani speakers in the south, near [[Nee]], numbering about 146 800 or 1.7%.
