HG Robert, Duke of Altamore was born Robert A. Davis - on 7 June 1976<br />
in Watertown, NY USA. At the age of four, it was discovered that the<br />
young Robert was a profoundly gifted person, having scored<br />
exceptionally high on the Stanford-Binet IQ Exam. His home education<br />
began; as his mother, a Trauma Surgeon and College Professor, spared no<br />
expense, and made great efforts in allowing him to learn at his own<br />
rate.<br />
On 10 June 1989, at the age of 13, Robert graduated from high school<br />
and entered Texas A&M University as a Freshman Anthropology Major.<br />
He would spend three years there, earning his BA in 1992. Upon<br />
completion of his Undergraduate Degree, Robert went on to University of<br />
Houston Law School, where he would earn his Juris Doctor (JD) in 1996.<br />
Four years later, in 2000, he would finish the requirements for his<br />
Master of Legal Letters (LL.M), the highest degree available to Law<br />
Professionals. His areas of expertise lie in Admiralty Law,<br />
International Law, and Human Rights.<br />
In mid-2004, Robert learned of his unique and interesting heritage;<br />
that just a few generations previous, his family were nobles in a small<br />
nation called Gotzborg. Robert moved himself and his family to<br />
Gotzborg, where he presented himself to His Royal Majesty, King August<br />
Charles II. Robert came to the Royal Kingdom of Gotzborg with grand<br />
ideas for the Judiciary. In a very short amount of time, he had<br />
accomplished creating a Judicial Establishment Act, created the King<br />
Charles II School of Law, and written a 150+ Article Code of Law.<br />
On 23 August 2004, Robert (who had not yet been Knighted or ennobled),<br />
was appointed as the Deputy Vice-Minister of State, Home Office - in<br />
charge of the Justice Section. Once he completed the Judicial Outline,<br />
and the Act was passed in the Chamber of Deputies, he was removed from<br />
this position, and appointed as Minister of State for the Foreign<br />
Office. On 1 September 2004, HG Robert was inducted into the Most<br />
Honourable Order of the Eagle, as a Knight Officer.<br />
On 9 September 2004, Robert was appointed as the Minister of State,<br />
Foreign Office. Under his leadership, the Foreign Office has concluded<br />
Recognition and Friendship Treaties with several nations, and has begun<br />
the daunting task of establishing Extradition / Judicial Cooperation<br />
Treaties with those who are Friends of Gotzborg.<br />
On 15 September 2004, Robert was rewarded for his hard work in the<br />
Judiciary, and honoured by His Royal Majesty, August Charles II, with<br />
the title of Lord Justice of the Crown. Five days later, he would be<br />
inducted into the Royal Order of Merit, as an Officer; in recognition<br />
of his drive and commitment in creating the King Charles II School of<br />
Law. Although Robert was made the Professor of Law for the King Charles<br />
II School after its completion, on 9 September 2004, it wasn't until 27<br />
September 2004 that the School was officially opened, and began<br />
instructing it's first set of students.<br />
On 28 September 2004, Robert became the First Royal Chancellor for the<br />
Kingdom of Gotzborg. At the same time, he stepped down as Lord Justice<br />
of the Crown, in the interests of remaining fair and allowing the<br />
judiciary to be impartial.<br />
On 5 October 2004, the Duchy of Altamore was returned to the Davis<br />
Family when His Majesty bestowed the Title Duke of Altamore upon His<br />
Grace.<br />
During November 2004, His Grace was stricken with a severe case of<br />
pneumonia. He was hospitalised for several weeks, finally returning<br />
home, and to work, just before Christmas. He has since resumed most of<br />
his duties in Gotzborg, but still limits himself to only important<br />
issues, while he continues to recover. During the Christmas Honours for<br />
2004, His Grace was invested into the Most Noble and Ancient Order of<br />
The Crown, as a Knight Commander.<br />
On 29 January, Duke Altamore was awarded the FNORD for Most Committed<br />
Micronationalist.<br />
Duke Altamore's wife, Duchess Angel, is also a citizen of Gotzborg,<br />
serving as Lord Constable, and as a Contributor to the Gotzborg Eagle. They have a daughter, Lady Chloe, who was born on 15 October 2002. They live in Davidson Manor, in the Duchy of Altamore.<br />
