Fox kaiser? I just noticed that... so we've had angry kaisers, absent kaisers, tranny kaisers, and now; furry kaisers! Cheers!

Milord Praetor-designate.
Congratulations!
There are a few legal entanglements, which can easily be handled by your resigning a non-Shirerithian citizenship, at least for the period of your tenure.
There is a long tradition of ducking and dodging in such fashion.
Warm Regards,
Jacobus Loki Kahumamea
Acting Baron of BUI.

Yes I would have regretfully had to resign my Stormarkian citizenship, but thankfully the Kaiser has overruled the conflicting law.

The bad news for you is that I strongly object to the Kaiser overturning Landsraad laws just because it's convenient at the moment, especially when the laws have to do with internal Landsraad business. There's a case to be made that what you just did was unconstitutional, since statements about the Praetor naturally involve Landsraad procedures whether they're written in the Landsraad Procedures document or not.
The good news for you is that as far as I can tell, not only was the act in question never added to the Lawbook, but it doesn't even make sense: ie it claims to be modifying Chapter VII, but that's about the Judex system and has nothing to do with Praetor citizenship. Therefore, it is not legally in effect.
I have no idea why this is.

Gentlemen, might I remind you that once, maybe twice in Shireroth's recent history the Lawbook has been reset. That is, a copy of the Lawbook has been located, recognised officially as the most recent complete version, and enacted as the complete law. This was done because of the Wiki issues we had way back when.
So basically, if something is not in the Lawbook but was passed by the Landsraad, there is a chance it was probably cut out that time.

Basicly, if it's not in the Lawbooks.. it doesn't exist. We lost a lot of law..
Not true. The Praetor isn't required to validate the law. We could have an illegal praetor, but all law passed during his reign is still legit. The Prætor is just the guy you officially announces the laws passed. They technically still are legal, even if he's not. Now if we required Prætor signatures, that would change things.

I've proposed an amendment to the Procedures intended to clarify that only laws in the LawBook are valid. We get this at least once a month, someone feels that someone has violated some law not in the LawBook, but the law was passed and bla bla bla bla. I'm quite irritated.

I made a ruling in the Milord Arbiter thread in the Judex. I'll move it to a separate thread.
