Greetings from Universalis

I would like to give my fraternal greetings to Shireroth from my latest and quite possibly last micronational project, the Technocracy of Universalis. Some of you who are old enough may recall that this is also the first nation I ever created, way back in 2000. So I've essentially gone back to my roots, albeit with some refinements to the original concept.

Basically Universalis is a space-based futuristic micronation with humanitarian and scientific ideals. I hope to use it as a testing platform for developing space projects for micronations, and principles that can be applied elsewhere.

Our forums are here: http://universus.proboards.com/

Anyways, I would be interested in signing a treaty with Shireroth and possibly participating in the Commonwealth given our common heritage. Would Shireroth be interested in such a proposal?

Shireroth (well, at least it's Kaiser) has wanted a presence off of this rock for some time.

I'll come by as soon as I'm free.

Treaty-in-a-can?

I think Universalis and their space expertise would be a great contribution to the Commonwealth :document

Treaty of New Montauk
Between
The Technocracy of Universalis
And
The Imperial Republic of Shireroth

Whereas our two nations possess a common heritage in Tapfer, Demesos, etc,

And seeing that our two nations share an interest in the pursuit of space travel,

The nations of the Technocracy of Universalis and the Imperial Republic of Shireroth hereby enter into a state of mutual friendship and cooperation under the following conditions:

1. Both signing parties recognize and support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the other.
2. Each party will support the other in their endeavors to promote space exploration as a legitimate and noble enterprise among nations.
3. Citizens of each party shall enjoy full visitor status within the territory of each party.
4. Neither party shall engage in hostile actions against the other. Furthermore, intelligence pertaining to the security of the other signing party shall be shared.
5. The Starfleet of Universalis and the space corps of Shireroth shall enter into a state of cooperation. Facilities of either organization shall be made available to vessels and personnel in the event of emergencies or otherwise approved circumstances.

Signed, etc
How does that look (borrowed from the one I just signed with Natopia)?

We share a common heritage in Tapfer? Perhaps replace that with "Apollo" ....

FINALLY!!

Stardate 81107.3

The "Improvise" is picking up signals on a familiar band. After long exile, the signals seem to originate with - STARFLEET COMMAND!

I have ordered Warp Factor 6 toward these mysterious signals, but have ordered the ship to Yellow Alert.

@ Andreas: Tapfer/Demesos (which were geographically the same) were a part of Shireroth for a good long while, and Universalis was a part of Tapfer. But you could simplify it by saying Apollo, although some people would object to that I suppose...

Admiral Quirk! It has been many light years since we last met, comrade!

The Babklingons are attacking again! Lock photon torpedoes!

No need to change wording! I'll have this thrown into the Landsraad with haste! Good to see Universalis grace us with her (his?) presence! :yay:

I was unaware of that because it wasn't on the Empire Map. Someone must add Demesos to our eventually to be re-annexed map!

That map is awful... Sorry, but it is. There are multiples of many areas and cities, overlapped borders, and pixelation galore. It's very inaccurate and includes Amerada for some reason.

Harald did a fine job considering what he had to work with and how much of it there was.

Gotta get a duke to but it before the landsraad (along with another treaty).

I'm sad, they're getting lazy... :(

If they don't act on treaties soon, I'm going to open a new Decree book.

Seeing as this has been approved by the Landsraad, I'll put up a ratified copy in Universalis now. :thumbsup

Last project.

Yes, he could be hit by a meteor (fates forfend!) or carted off by a love-starved Australopithicus Menetea (gods forbid!).

Quirk has been all over the place.
