Pushing through the darkness

Surprisingly for this time of year, the county of Cape Farewell has seen little wind but blue skies and frosty marches. Not yet have any large masses of snow come, and we are are quite enjoying the winter here now.

We, however, suspect that in a few days the winter storms will come from the north, from the west and the east. A three-way crossing of storms! And there are few things that shelter us from them. Few hills, few forests.

Yes, the forests that once stood in the south of the county have long been gone. The Ardashirian massacrings of the Elfinshi... They took down the forests, used them for their own machinery, (and if they found little use for them, they burnt them!).

Now that was progress.
