Loki , being the third of the name, to Shireroth and Micronationry-at-Large, Greetings:

The following awards are long overdue. The first two awards were promised two reigns previously, a period of many months. Rightness and obligation are the Kaisers honor and duty. To this end, all regulations concerning frequency of awards are waived in this one instance.

The following awards are hereby conferred:

The ORDER OF THE DRAGON is awarded to Duke Jonas of Kildare for his unceasing labor on behalf of Shireroth, as Praetor, as Duke, as true Shirithian, both within and without the Empire.

The ORDER OF THE DRAGON is awarded to Andreas the Wise, for living up to his name, for massive work on the Shirithian economy, and for building and maintaining the reputation of the Imperial Republic at home and abroad.

The ORDER OF THE GRIFFIN is awarded to Ryan, aka Orion aka WarVoid, etc.&c. for his multiple contributions to Shirithian history and culture, and for his extra-ordinary innumerable achievements in micronationry.

*bows* I am deeply honoured your niftyness, to be placed alongside such great Shirithians as Scott, Shyriath, and, of course, Carol.

*unbows*

Quick, nobody let Corey see this, he'll rant ...

Or will he :shifty

DecreeBook V,E,b wrote: The head of the order is the Kaiser, and he may induct one new member per month, with the only exception being when multiple people are inducted for the same achievement.

I warmly thank the Arbiter for pointing out the inconsistancy in the decree above as originally written.

In accordance with Decreebook B, 1, c, I have amended Decree 326.

Congratualtions to the Honorees, and thanks again to the Arbiter, who does his job very well.

Thank you, Your Niftiness, this is quite the surprise.

Interestingly, I designed the only known graphic (that I know of...) of that medal.

Well, there is this

but yours is a medal that one can wear. May we add it to the wiki-page?

It took me a while to see your amendment to the decree. I have no remaining objections to this decree, and I thank the Kaiser for his respectful approach to the concerns of the Judex.

I've never seen the other one. It seems stylized, like a tribal tattoo.

But yes, feel free to use the one I made.

Maybe those who get the award should get a tattoo instead of a medal.

I think it should be their choice, medal, tatoo, or both.....

Of course if someone leaves the Order, a medal can go in a box, whereas a tattoo......

The Judex has shown a constructive attitude, and is comended. Perhaps a proceedure could be devised to address future instances of implied repeal? We may have Kaisers and Arbiters in the future who may not work as well together.

Like we did in the past with Stewards and the Judex.

I'm not quite sure I understand this "implied repeal" concept. I'm not familiar with it in Shireroth, nor exactly what it means. Someone explain to me. (though I suspect it's being used to fill a hole in the powers of the Arbiter over the Kaiser in cases of illegal decrees, a problem I plan to address some day.)

Implied repeal is, simply, what happens when you amend a law with a text that causes another part of the law to be repealed, without that being expressed in the text. A later law superceeds an earlier law. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implied_repeal

Example (probably a bad one):

LawBook Chapter I, E, a:
a. All balls used in Shireroth must be blue.

Amendment to Chapter IV, A, a:
a. When using a ball in Shireroth, no person may use a ball with any other color than yellow.

The amendment causes an implied repeal of the first law.
