(City still a ruin with some of the houses already rebuild and in use).

History of Apollo City

This city had a population of 4,000,000 Citizens in Jasonian Times (since the collapse of Jasonia hunderds of years ago the number of citizens reduced fast but there are still 200,000 citizens left). This was also the largest city in Jasonia, Kajar didn't even come close.
The city is now called Apollo City, but before that the city had the name Airosamente.

Airosamente was founded a little bit after the Great Merge between the four provinces as the new capital of Audentior. The main builder were Tapferites, since, after all, it was on their soil. You can see the fact that the buildings look more Tapferite than Audente. It grew quickly, and it was a feat of engineering for its time. The Egalitarian Tower is still the largest building in the sector.

It took quite a lot of time and effort to complete Airosamente. When it was done, it became a city wonderous enough to rival Apolyton City, the first and largest city in the Apollo Sector. Airosamente took its name from Audentior in a way; Audentior means "More Brave" in Latin, and Airosamente means "Brave" in Spanish.

When Tapfer succeded, Airosamente succeded with Tapfer. The rest of Audentior was in ruins; with the loss of its capital, it never became as glorious as the old Tetrapole Era Audentior. Airosamente was origionally a sea island; When Tapfer was merged, Airosamente and New Long Island lifted up in the air and became two more flying islands in the Flyng Islands of Jasonia.

Places you need to visit

People can visit a couple of landmarks at Apollo Town, including the ruins of the Egalitarian Tower, the Monuments of former Audentior, the old Court of Equity, and the old Tetrapole Building. Most of the building are still ruins but under Kildarian rule these monuments there is the hope that the city will get restored in it's old glory, even if it will just be a shine of that long past glory.

Very interesting. I suppose the owners of those now-dead micronations would probably thank us for keeping the memory of some of their states alive- I know I would in their position. It really gives Shireroth an air of antiquity other micronations can't really come close to surpassing.
In a way, I can see where the influence for the islands between Cibola and Tapfer (the archipelago including Maraguo- I forget its name) comes from- based on the shape of the Flying Islands of Jasonia, perhaps? :)

It also gives a feeling of reality. A nation doesn't just disappeare from history.

Just call them the Jasonian Isles. ;)

Apollo City ... if this IS Airosamente, it needs its stock exchange ....

The Kaiser tried to visit the ancient, new territory incognito, however his Chelkren Guards made it obvious that something different was going on.

His Kildarian escort brought him to the ancient ruins. He was shocked and amazed. One of his guards had to keep him from falling over on the spot.

He remembered the tower and ruins of Ergo Sum from ages past. This made those proud battlements look like a children's fort made of cardboard.

Ours!

He nearly gloated, and was then humbled again by the responsibilty for these proud monuments, and the living albeit smaller modern city that sat beside and among it.

So must have Charlemange when he first saw Rome. So felt Loki III now.

If I need to believe Harvey (and I believe him) this IS Airosamente.
A stock exhange? We can work on that of course, but I thought Destrykara would become our economic city.
So much to develop... :)

It was in Scott/Yvain's scavenger hunt, going to Airosamente's stock exchange, that's all ...

Oh yes... we can merge the stock exhanges and move it to Destrykara.

It only has to be a ruin, as long as we mention there's a ruin ...

Okay. I will mention there is a ruin.
But not for long. With modern technology we can rebuild the city in the smallest details! :document

It is Airosamente. In preparation for the founding of the Seventh Republic of Audentior, Scott wrote a story about how he and the Blue Sun Society hijacked the flying city-island of Airosamente and restored it to the ground in it's traditional place in the world, ie where you guys hae it labeled on the map. It was a fun little story that I have since lost, which is a darn shame because it had a lot of my pet project fiction stuff in it including both the Jason and the Sai'Kar characters plus the Omen and Ragnarok gravships having a massive aerial battle.

Anyway, for whatever reason Airosamente island never got removed from the FIoJ archipeligo despite the fact it really should have been. I guess the MCS cartographers didn't like the idea of countries being able to move islands and stuff. The way I dealt with this in the continuity of the history storyline is that the Blue Sun Society only moved the city of Airosamente itself off the island and left the rest of the island there probably with a big crater in the middle. Kind of dodgy, but it's the only way to explain how the city isn't in two simultaneous locations on the map at the same time.

About the stock exchange, the Apolyton Stock Exchange, the ASTEX, was essentially the birthplace of intermicronational economics in the Apollo Sector. They decided the first exchange rate formulas and the legendary Audente economist dStryker founded the ICE (international currenty exchange) there. As a result of some pretty skewed formulas and an occasional bank fraud, Audentior became extremely rich. The ASTEX building was massive and ornate before a fire damaged it severely and it was scaled down. The spires of the ASTEX, huge things each the size of a small office building, were auctioned off throughout the region to help pay for repairs. One ended up as the Steffke manor house as referenced in CoD1 and is still probably within the city as a ruin. The condition and location of the other five is unrecorded.

Jonas looked over the old city. He saw there was still much work to do. But once it would be finished and partly restored in its former shape, Apollo City would impress the people again. Also, not far from the city they had found the ruins of Grace Palace.
This is the place, he thought. This will become the capital of MY Empire.
