Reformation of DiploCorp

I have a strong desire to reform the Shirithian Diplomatic Corps (aka DiploCorp) because a) there's potentially too much foreign affairs for me to handle alone, b) I'm a lazy bastard, and c) DiploCorp should accomplish the goal Eoin set long ago, to bring Shireroth completely out of isolation, which, in my opinion, we have yet to do successfully (although, admittedly, we're better than before).

First, I need to know how many people would be interested/motivated to help out with Shirithian FA, so I can properly reorganize the ranks (or see if I need to at all, depending on the amount of interest). I noticed Jonas showed some interest about a year ago in a long dead thread, and we also have a very diverse citizenry, so I'm sure I could manage at least a few underlings employees.

I also need to remember to propose a bill that puts that sentence about MiniEx having complete freedom to do as he pleases with the DiploCorp structure and affairs back into the Lawbook. Or, even better now that I have erb to throw around, get F&B to write something up for me for a small reward. :thumbsup

I'm interested in a job as diplomat. It can be very handy to have a diplomat for the Dutch sector that speaks Dutch. ;)
And I don't mind visiting Anglophone nations to make contact.

This remembers me about that Commonwealth organisation we wanted to create, in Batavia there is interest for it.

Yay! *waves little flag*

Something you'll want to consider is whether or not to dispatch people to their own nations. For example, is Bayen a potential ambassador to Toketi? This was something we had to worry about in the previous incarnation of the Corps. I'd suggest no. The whole point of the Corps is to introduce nations to Shirerithians they might not otherwise meet and increase the Shireroth-foreigner links.

I'm willing to join, though I can't think of any nation I'd be particularly good at.

Deploying ambassadors to their own nations is unnecessary. If we have another country's citizen participating here, that's enough. I'm sure they're preaching the good word in their home nation well enough...

I hope this runs better than my vague attempts at similiar things in Gralus ...

IF we are still doing this, I'm interested in DiploCorping to our neighbors in Ashkenatza

But that nation has just 235 posts and 8 members. I think they are still too young to start diplomacy with them.

@Scott: See LOA thread. I'll be getting this back together once I'm back.

Corey: Will do so.

Jonas: They're not too small. They're also close to us, led by an ex-Shirerithian, and linked with some of the same countries we are. I think it's important to get them on our side early (or, preemptively on our side just in case we ever try to take a side in something.) Plus, they're an Ashkenazi-based micronation and I'm Ashkenazi heritage, so I think they're neat.

Scott, don't wait. You are appointed Ambassador to Ashkenatza.

Report directly to me (if need be) until MiniEx is up and running again. The timing could not be better.

By the last comment, I get the feeling this may serve some purpose in one of your plans? If so, PM me or post about it in the IAC and I'll see how I can help.

We have been invited the Central Benacian Relations Conference in Tellia, starting October 15. The Kaiser or MiniEx should probably appoint a delegate. Andreas would be a good choice, since there will probably be a lot of mapping and trade - related minutae.

Completely possible. I was just talking to the Tellians about it. Maybe someone else from their government already issued you a formal invitation.
