Gauging Interest

Not saying I'll do this ... but how many people would be interested if I started a bank? Those not too concerned about voting could deposit their money in it, earn a small amount of interest, and be able to withdraw their money at 48 hours notice (normally much less, just giving me time to come online and make the transaction) - except in the middle of a vote.
At the same time, the amount of capital gained from such a venture would not be hoarded in Shirekeep - instead, people could pay to have the money added to their Duchies vote for a particular issue. You might pay 10 erb to have that 10 erb, plus 200 more erb, count to your Duchies vote for that crucial issue. It actually allows you to spend most of your money and just save 20 or 30 erb to whip out when a vote comes along you really care about - and increase your Duchies voting power dramatically. I'd probably also issue shares which gives me base capital to work off if nobody actually deposits in the bank.
So ... interested, anyone?

Bad luck, I brought it to market first ...

(nah, competition is fine).
@ Wil - probably, in fairness, it'll have a Shirekeep account, and then be added to duchies as required. I have admin so I can ensure I get the money back

Yeah. you can't use admin power to help your business. Seems kinda unfair.

Actually, it got onto the forums by Bayen's post first. You lose... (ask Ari, he'll vouch for us)

Erm... I still don't see a bank anywhere... And Erik is right, using admin powers to make money for yourself is rather bad.

Who was it who said the MiniTrade (...I mean...Treasurer) wasn't corrupt?

The reference to admin power was if I transfer money to someone's account for the vote, and they refuse to transfer it back, I don't have to sue them. The alternative is I just make 5 accounts for the business, one in each Duchy and use that ...

yeah.. those accounts. Just a comment, I have no say in the matter. I just like to keep things tidy.. Should we let people be able to delete their own accounts?

Er ... if you want. But people who'll want to delete accounts will, most of the time, be gone ... and so not be around to delete ...

Yeah, I considered that, thus I never made the feature available to them.
