Fortunately, Unfortunately

After the wild success of the other forum game I reintroduced to Shireroth - the Word Association, now 40 pages and going strong - I have decided it is time to bring in another. It's a personal favourite from when I was smaller. I haven't tried it on a forum, but I think it will work well. It's called Fortunately, Unfortunately.

Basically, after the starting phrase, you take it in turns saying "Fortunately x" then "Unfortunately y" then "Fortunately z" and so on. e.g:
Russia invaded Georgia.
Fortunately, the US noticed.
Unfortunately, they didn't care much.
Fortunately, Russia decided to pull out anyway.
Got it? I'll start us off.

Ayreon was Kaiser of Shireroth.

Unfortunately, he will not have the time to devote himself to his dream of being an Olympic ski champion.

Fortunately, the Winter Olympics is in two years and he'll probably not be Kaiser still then.

Unfortunately, skiing too much results in a broken limb eventually.

Fortunately, broken limbs are scientifically found to induce character-building.

Unfortunately, this will not do much good for Ayreon, as his character is as strong as they come.

Fortunately, this means he has the fortitude to deal with Corey wanting to learn Swedish. :p

Unfortunately, learning Swedish merely enfused Corey with the uncontrollable urge to conquer Norway.

Fortunately, Norway's army is bigger then Corey.

Unfortunately, they're blind drunk most of the time.

Fortunately, being such bad shots, they're actually a more effective fighting force when blind drunk.

Fortunately, that means their drunken marksmanship can be put to use in the... *ahem*... 'peacekeeping' situation with Russia.

Fortunately, evil is just religious crap to make us think that people can't be bastards.

Unfortunately, the idea of people being simple bastards is more harrowing than the idea of satanic evil.
