I see some people didn't notice it... Jonas has announced that he's on LOA until the 25th or so. He left the Dutchy for Andreas to steward over but didn't appoint a replacement Praetor. So, right now, we don't actually have Praetorial services. I'm sure he'll have a lot of fun figuring out what to do with Andreas's bill once he returns, though

I think in the Charter, at the least it's the Traditional way of dealing with it. The Kaiser runs the election, and historically acted as Praetor, though wasn't actually the Praetor.

Imperial Charter: Article II, Section D

The Kaiser shall manage the election of the Prætor by the Landsraad, and shall act as Prætor of the Landsraad until one is immediately elected.

* shrugs.. it's close enough...

Appaently they were over-eager to enact legislation, and just couldn't live without your presence.
