Malarbor says: abdications, Treesians, Gralus

Shireroth loses two Dukes.
Duke Benkern of Yardistan abdicates, perhaps to focus on his new
Babkhan Grand Viziership. He leaves behind him the new Lodge of Mischevious Intent and his heir, Duke Prodigy. And in Brookshire, Duke Yvain not only
sails off into the sunrise, but in fact
never existed in the first place. His successor is Krasniy Yastreb of Lunaris, who has to deal with a
band of adventurers making their way across Brookshire.
As Benkern pointed out, our Morovian, Gralan, and Babkhan invasions are now being followed by a Treesian one. Both
Iskander "Iain de Vembria" Mirkdale and
Wil "Eoin Dornan" Nider return to the Duchy of Elwynn after reimmigrating in the MiniImN...I mean, *makes little quote marks with fingers*
"Registrar". Maybe later the
"Treasury" will give them a
"bounty" by order of the "Kaiser".
In foreign news, we will
probably not be giving an island to King Christopher of Tellia, but still think he's a nifty guy. Baron Andreas of Kildare is now also
King Andreas the Overtitled of Novatainia. In less happy news,
Toketi's withdrawal from Gralus threatens to dissolve the Commonwealth. Noooooo! Don't die, Gralus! MALARBOR LOVES YOU!

Actually,
this is the link to where the withdrawal from Gralus is explained.

Thanks, I was looking for that but failed to understand the Toketi forum naming convention...

Actually, that's not the problem. They're just different urls to the same thing. The problem is that... well, you know, if you want to know what's going on in Shireroth, you have to check three forums: General discussion, Kaiser's court and the Landsraad front gate. It could be better - it'd be nicer to non-Shirithians if more of the world-changing stuff happened in General discussion, but hey, at least the important forums are the ones right at the top (except the off-topic forum which is clearly marked as such). In Toketi, News, Public Message Board and National Matters Discussion all look important to an outsider, but it turns out a matter like the king abdicating and pulling the country out of Gralus don't get posted there, so it's a bit... misleading

I'm surprised that Gralus never actually maintained its own forum... showing a confederation of Micronations working properly is so easily shown if they all maintain one single web presence. That's where the CIS fell down in its height with Sep- so many of the nations joining we so young and proud that they wanted to remain independent whilst reaping the military and economic benefits of the Confederacy.
Gralus did always seem a bit hastily constructed to me, though it certainly was successful and I hope continues to be.
Good luck, Toketi

Oh Maksym. The CIS is more than still alive etc.

I beg to differ. Jamzinia is inactive, Bobalania has left, and the New-Empire is just Spangle's way of saying the CIS is more than Union City and a cryptic area of land nobody knows anything about save for its having been shaped like a testicle.

Sorry. Didn't realise
I have been inactive for a while though, my lad, so keep that in mind

I always use "New posts" and then go through them all if they seem interesting...

Actually, many important things happen in News on Toketi.
Public Message Board is simply to keep commoners from spaming up the News board with LOA threads.
National Matters is internal public discussions.
I can see where you'd get confused in the various city forums. They're a healthy mix of spam and important things.
But Novatainia is worse.

Also, I don't understand why everyone likes Gralus so much. It's just Andreas with more people behind him... >_>

No, Gralus is much more than that. Gralus is a MERGER! How AWESOME is that?! How often do they happen? Not as often as people would have you think. Successful ones anyway. And Gralus is successful so far. It's just a shame that Craitland wasn't invited...

Craitland wasn't interested, I think.
But anyways, I suppose it must be final now. Toketi's flag isn't on the angry-Gralus-boy that Jess posted, so we must not be in it.

Gralus is
not successful. Half of the government is broken and cannot be fixed.

Dude, in my opinion, if a micronational government breaks, it is functioning as it should. And also the more complex the better.

Corey is just mad because he never got in power, or a Tokian never became prez.

Oh yeah! And when they guy who created the damn confederation isn't happy, it certainly isn't succeeding at anything but pissing him off

Why must you be bitter?

Re: Malarbor says: abdications, Treesians, Gralus

Because the purpose of Gralus was so that Toketi could annex Novatainia.

I don't use that on forums that I don't visit regularly... though maybe I should? I can't recall the last time I tried it outside of... well, Shireroth, actually :/ (I use it all the time here, though, almost to the exclusion of ever using the board front page)

How can I mark all as read?
Re: Malarbor says: abdications, Treesians, Gralus

That is a good question... not in the sense that I can't answer it, but in the sense that the answer really ought to be easier to find...
To mark the entire board read, go to the forum front page and click "mark forums read" (on the right side of Malarbar, two links down from "New posts").
To mark a single forum read, go to that forum and click "mark topics read" on the right end of the header right under the "new post" button.
