I can tell you definitively that the answer is no. Mango is a very sweet, slightly sticky, pear-shaped fruit with a huge white seed (appropriately called hueso, or bone, in Spanish). Pine pulp tastes a lot the way the tree smells--I tried it when I was little, and, no, you don't want to repeat that one.

Eucalyptus pulp is delicious, however.

Mangos smell like pine, there is no question about that. and They are very messy, unlike a kiwi

True on both counts, but you can eat the pulp safely, whereas I wouldn't want to try that with pine. They are definitely a chore to open up and extract the fruit without getting mango everywhere, but the flavor is worth it. I find that a curved-bladed pineapple knife works to cut around the big seed, and then a regular paring knife for cubing the flesh for eating. Kiwi only needs to be peeled and sliced--a very easy job. Personally, I prefer the taste of mango.

Actually, the best way to eat a kiwi is to cut off the top and eat it with a spoon. That's how me and Gil did it on friday. :thumbsup

Have you seen any of the Hannibal Lector movies any time in the past three weeks, sir? *Starts taking notes on a pad as Krasniy straps on a straightjacket* Tighten those straps there a little more... these ones, here, see where I'm pointing...? There we go. All set. :thumbsup

yep yep cut off the top and scoop out the flesh. Then you can tear off the remaining skin and feed it to the ducks XD

A few years ago we had about 1600 Canada geese in our local park, which quickly became unusable. Each bird produces over 3 1/2 pounds per day! They finally called in a pair of border collies called The Goose Patrol. Their job is merely to chase and bark at the geese in whichever locale is overrun with then. After a couple of hours of this, the birds fly away and land at another park, a school, another lake, etc. Now we rarely have more than a couple of hundred, because they fly each morning from the coast of the SF Bay to any of about 20 places within easy reach (25 miles or so), returning to the shore each evening. It's fun to watch the vees of geese overhead all year from the birds which stopped long-distance migrating many years ago, choosing instead the year-round temperate climate here. Why fly thousands of miles when a 20-40 mile round trip will do?

You might inquire if there are some trained dogs available to do the same thing in Pennsylvania. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYEvxrB0 ... re=related

Well... our town... set up plastic alligator heads in the ponds... it's epic failure right there. Every once in a while I'll see one standing right on top of the fake alligator. Though... there are now maybe about ten in that park now... which is better than what we used to have... =_= At one point cars would have to stop to let the geese and their goslings cross the street to get to the other side... Which... in all reality... they could have swam there... http://www.kidzone.ws/animals/birds/canada-goose.htm That site is SO wrong on their location... <_< Since some are in PA... and that map fails to show that. I have half a mind to write to them and tell them that they're wrong... but as I'm typing this at 3:37 am and I don't have my glasses on at the moment and am just seeing blurs on the screen pretty much... I'll pass.

Geese are not fun, geese are mean. Ducks are cute and adorable.

Aye, that they are. lol I know a few people have been attacked by the geese.... they're mean... But I know some people also chase them for the heck of it.

Our local park rangers also coat the goose eggs in our central park with mineral oil so they can't hatch. (If you remove the eggs, the geese will just lay more.) This doesn't stop them from laying eggs in other locales, but we keep things down somewhat.

Edit: I don't know how I missed that map the first tine I read that poshow the geese in Califiornia at all, but we have many thousands living around the SF Bay Area year-round.

I think that's just Lothlaria's... though... *checks lawbook* No, no mentions of birds. Maybe we should appoint a Mastakater again?
