Well of course the ministries will be able to hire people to head different offices. For example, the Registrar might want an officer for migration, another one for cartography etc, but it's the minister that is respoinsible to the Kaiser.

BOOOOOO! HISSS!!!!

I want MiniTrade and MiniImNat by their traditional names. Especially MiniImNat being the oldest ministry, and have the same name now it was formed with 8 years ago.

We could organize them into departments, and call the offices "ministries" then.

Or have the ministries alone and have created departments inside them, thus maintaining the traditional ministries.

I agree with Erik. The old names are good. But I agree with the idea of folding MiniInfo into something else.

I'd prefer it live on, but I'll compromise and only argue for MiniTrade and MiniImNat.

I'd prefer MiniTrade still, just because a week from now I was going to come out with yet another Trade attempt, and hope that this one would actually work with Shirithian backing ... (and a nifty site)

Does it require more modification from the bank?

No, it'll all be handled externally.

What's the big deal? They're just names. Folding half of the MiniInfo's work into MiniImNat kind of forces you to change the latter's name anyway because the various registrarly things that MiniInfo was supposed to do don't really have anything to do with citizenship...

And as for MiniTrade, well, it *is* going to be a lot more busy handling the treasury than handling trade...

The way I see it, the Ministries lost most of their ancient charm when they stopped being tied to specific historic forums on ezboard. They're expendable now :p

Conservatism perhaps?

I don't like the name changes.

Your Niftiness, what will become of the MiniInfo? And more importantly it's sub-division, the MiniCart? They don't fit under any of these ministries as is.

I implemented the name changes. I left MiniInfo open for now though, so that people can post in it while it's worked out exactly where its rather numerous subforums go...

(btw, has anyone heard from Hypatia's Mom regarding her sudden increase of responsibilities? She hasn't posted in this thread yet..)

I think it is an excellent job creation opportunity if Carol were to divide some of the increased workload amongst subordinate departments. :)

I am having trouble keeping up with just demangoing right now. I will have to go back and study what I have as new responsibilities. I will post again when I have absorbed it all.

Maybe an everyone-throw-a-pie at the kaiser day?

How we define throwing a 'pie' at the Kaiser to be an act of treason and carry on from there. Apparently there is ravishing of subordinates involved... I'm sure you won't mind Jess - it is the law after all. ;)

Throwing a pie at your god given superiors is rebellion conducted with malicious intent.
