A cat. It will imprint on the first person it sees, attempting to be within sight of that person at all times. It is completely mundane while watched, but will do "impossible" things at other times to stay with its human. (Example: Fred drops of cat in kennel and boards airplane, only to find cat waiting for him at destination airport. Fred locks cat in safe and drops it in active volcano, but cat is waiting for him in his car. Fred shreds cat with M-16, and feeds the bloody bits to his dog, but the cat appears and chases the dog away from the bowl.)
