People to Bountify

If the law ever gets passed ...

Yvain Wintersong, for some awesome Society developments
Krasniy, for MoMA work (his story we'll pay when its done, or at least done a bit more)
I'll confess I haven't paid any attention in Elwynn ...
In Kildare (if its appropriate after the Kaiser chipped in), Jonas and I, for civil war stuff.
In Yardistan, a small MiniTrade gift for the wedding ...
And Ari/Ori, for actually getting some Straylight counties up

For ministers ... me, Hesam and Ari a reasonable amount of pay. Also pay Hypatias Mom and Ori (sorry Yvain, but you haven't really done anything ministery at all in the last month). Praetor should get something, and also Erik and Mike for all that legal work.

More nominations?

*sigh*

Corey, not Ori. I went over this with Benkern already :p

But thanks for the thought.

I think he was going for the whole similiar-to-Ari thing. Ari... Ori... yeah... :smashy

People sometimes choose other people's nicknames, often to the discomfiture and disapproval of the recipient. It's meant kindly, I'm sure.

Blowing my own horn-

Well, since we are going to be capitalistic, I pretty much superglued the wiki back together. 3000 posts+ or _.

I could use the funding for my charity work.

Yeah, it's easy to forget when you just look at the forum, but Jake's done some incredible wiki work. Thousands of edits is a correct figure. These days you can actually click on "random page" and expect to see a properly laid out wiki page with up-to-date information of Shirithian interest, and it's largely Jake's work that made it that way.

From you Ari, that means a great deal.

But I thought you didn't want money, Jacobus .... you're giving it all away?

NO, TO ME! If there is one thing I want from Yardistani it's their money!

If Jacobus doesn't chip in a lot ... a large amount to Yvain for those bank-notes.

OOC-
Since I run a RL business, a MN business has little appeal. But in MN, since the economy exists, I wanted to find a way that I could participate and have fun with it.

I can't be a philanthropist in RL except on a miniscule scale, but here philanthropy with a Jacobistic twist could exist. My own little niche, for the moment.

Perhaps the Fund should have it's own account, so donations would not be commingled with my pocket money? ;)

Addendum.

yes, Yvian deserves a lot for the bank-notes, but isn't that government work? After all, I'm not sitting in the Landsraad or on the Throne, we are a private philanthropy. :thumbsup

I'll send him a donation.

Later- Done :smashy The Govt. should bounty him as well.

Yes ... but we only have a limited amount of money to go around ... I'm thinking 70 (which is a huge bounty), the standard market price of one image ... and maybe 30-50 for Krasniy.

edit:

I hereby personally renounce any Bounty for work on Shirewiki. It was a labor of love, and the thanks of Ari and my other countrymen are worth more than erbs.

I ask that any erbs forthcoming be considered as a credit toward any taxes due from my home Duchy of Yardistan, as a gift to our new Duke.

70 :erb ? No wonder you are running out of money. That is 70% of one duchy's tax, for one person. Hmmm...

And I thought people would accuse me of being stingy ...
For the record, we haven't actually paid a single bounty yet ... just citizenship things. Which I'm trying to reduce, but Yvain and I are confusing eachother ...

It's always easier to give credits...... :)

Besides , if I end up broke, wasn't that the original idea? :)

Scott, for some awesome Society developments and Bank Notes ... 60-70 erb
Krasniy, for MoMA work and story 30-40?
In Kildare (if its appropriate after the Kaiser chipped in), Jonas and I, for civil war stuff. Maybe 40-50 erb? (between us)
In Yardistan, a small MiniTrade gift for the wedding ... 10 erb.
And Ari/Corey, for actually getting some Straylight counties up 30 erb.
Hesam/Ardy for Byzantipol stuff. ? (haven't read it)

For ministers ... me, Hesam and Ari a reasonable amount of pay. Also pay Hypatias Mom and Ori (sorry Yvain, but you haven't really done anything ministery at all in the last month). Praetor should get something, and also Erik and Mike for all that legal work.
Erik and Mike - 20 each
Praetor - 10
Hypatias Mom - 10
Corey - 5
Ari - 60?
Me - 40
Hesam - 30

Which makes government bounties for the last month or so ... a max of 395 + ?, or up to 30 less.

Just posting this for general comments/approval

I'm not quite sure whether I should be amused or astonished by this statement...

Clearly, that was copied and pasted from the top post and I didn't delete it because I skipped right down to paying them (Scott was paid above for the money)

Andreas,

I just had a terrible thought. What if we sub-contracted someone to give out the bounties for us? A Private company? The company sets up the account, they calculate the allotted bounties and we give them the total sum.

- Stimulates independent business
- Prevents overworking of the ministry

I also think we should continue to whittle down the government issued bounties. It seems a bit like "Workfare" and I'd like to encourage private enterprise more than anything.

It also increases exploitability of the system! I like it! :love

Ah, you want an economy where businesses actually work ... where as I'm happy if the government is the one redistributing money if it means Shireroth is really developing as a nation.

But why not. It can be like tax collection ('cept we can't subcontract that as nobody else has admin). Different companies can bid for the right to give out bounties, and nominate the Bounty they receive for doing so. Depending on how well they do, we hire them again later. Why not?
But since I've sorted the first month already ... how are the above figures?

I don't have my glasses on, so reading is hard at the moment.

But.. you don't need admin to collect taxes. Just check the ...or.. wait.. neverming.. you need admin at the moment to check the logs... give me 3 days... and there will be personal log viewing enabled..

I can't actually find log viewing ... but in terms of collecting the taxes, you either transfer it all in a couple minutes, or hire someone else to run around and make everyone pay up. Admin transfer seems far easier to me ...

The figures you've posted here look fine Andreas, this is not a problem.

Glad you like the subcontract idea.

-Erik, I cannot see the transaction log still
