Last time him and I talked, he'd joined the army and was heading for Iraq. He was upset, because he thought he was bound for Hell after he killed Iraqis, but had decided that proving his patriotism by doing so was more important than his eternal afterlife. After thinking about it, I decided that all of the errors in that equation exactly cancel out and made him a good person. Unless he was lying about the whole thing, which with him is also possible.

Ahh, the Christian one-upmanship trick. Do something that you consider to be fundamentally good even though you believe you'll burn in Hell for it. I like that.

A few years ago Julien and I speculated he was dead. He never contacted ANYONE in micronations after his first deployment, and he was in the Airborne. Guess he isn't.
