Bystander effect. I think everyone was waiting for someone else to start festivities... added to the fact it was Saturday so people were probably out doing RL stuff.

Several of us were there to celebrate. I brought several wagonloads of colorful, flammable materials, plus launchers, to celebrate La Fiesta de la B0O0/\/\. Musica burned brightly, alll the way to the ground. Nothing is left but ashes. (see the current calendar picture--link is under Malarbor says.)
