Come, all ye faithful

The Treaty of Musica is taking too long to pass the Landsraad. Musica remains property of Yardistan and not Brookshire. Normally, I would wait patiently. But the calendar says tomorrow is La Fiesta de la BOOO/\/\, and that there is a tradition that people burn the city of Musica on that day. And Brookshire is the most traditional Duchy :evil

So, I am calling on all faithful BOOO/\/\ists wishing to celebrate the holiday in the traditional manner to muster their forces (land, sea, or air: it's all good) and join me in Smotrelka tomorrow. From there, we will begin the traditional Invasional Procession across the Delta Bridge to Musica, seize the city, and burn it to the ground. If he is able and willing, I appoint Baron Erik of Dolor as the commander of the assembled forces, and give him the honor of lighting the first match.

I myself will be riding at the vanguard of the invasion. I've even prepared a traditional Fiesta de la BOOO/\/\ song to inspire the invaders.

All who wish to honor the gods and cause great explosions that will be remembered for all time, be in Smotrelka tomorrow morning!

This is my favourite post of the week. Well done with the song Yvain, you've raised the quality of satire to the point where I feel obliged to wear a shirt and tie while posting! :thumbsup

LMAO

Why the hell wasn't that posted in Musica before?

Scott, I'm really starting to dig your singing voice. First the treasure hunt Atterock thing, now this. You should record the national anthem! Some people still claim it has no lyrics... and while that's probably true, those lyrics you posted aaages ago deserve to be recorded.

Anyway, back on topic...

Burn it to the ground! :tomcutterhamonfire

"I'm sorry, the Count of Musica is not available for the moment due to being somewhere else. Please leave a message after the boom."

I'm in. I brought my barony's contribution to the Fiesta. This ought to help the city burn especially brightly and colorfully.

*Unloads wagons full of skyrockets, rocket launchers, flame throwers, and assorted other fire makers...*

A good part of the Lower Lunatic straw harvest has been assembled in Smotretka for this occasion. Take as much as you can over the river (there's a Delta Bridge?? Why am I never consulted on these things! :o ) It's good dry stuff, goes up at the slightest spark.

*ponders whether the Duke make a typo in the spelling of Smotretka or is just subtly correcting my Russian grammar*

"Right, let's get burning."

*lights a match. It's too small, throws it away*
Holds up his staff. The shadow grows long.
"Lumvizwo Staeio"
The hay, provided by the kind Lower Lunatics, bursts into a pile of flame, which doesn't appear to go out when it runs out of fuel, but just keeps getting bigger.

"Lumvieio Staeio Anacho Chazweio"
Little figures start dancing in the fire and chucking it onto more of the straw.

"Much better."
