Rebellion?

I was hoping for this to be the second matter discussed in the Diet (after the Charter of course) but that hasn't got around to being made just yet so this is good a place as any.

So! Despite an agreement made, Hasan has gone and got himself shot and left the throne in the hands of good ol' Andelarion. I'm sure Ric doesn't mean to break any deals that were struck when Hasan was made Kaiser, but inadvertently he has of course - where's Kaiser Loki? Our good friend Jacobus was promised the crown. But he has not been given it.

It's true that this is the Kaiser we're talking about. Shouldn't he have the power to revoke such a deal? Yes. But in Yardistan, there's such a thing as honour. Honour is staying true to agreements made. Honour is stabbing your government in the back at the first opportunity you get. Honour is, when all else fails, revolting. Honour is YARDISTAN!

So - the verdict? Who wants to rebel? Who will stand up and fight for the true Kaiser, Kaiser Loki?

As Anarch, I demand that all Yardistanis pick up arms against the Anti Kaiser (holy water - sharp sticks - holy hand grenades - pies - you know what I mean), and ask that all who believe in honour do the same. :party

I am waiting for the explanation that the corpse... sorry... ex-Kaiser said was coming. If I see that it is good, I will think about joining in. If I see that it is bad, the LGLL will send its ice cream trucks.

Ice-cream trucks. Brilliant. Here's hoping there is no good excuse. :document

I agree with Mike. Once I see an explanation, I'll make my decision, though for now I'm leaning a bit towards rebellion... :nuclear

Promises were made.

Promises were ignored.

Yardistan is not in rebellion, as I am Kaiser.

My lord Duke, let us Rally the other Dukes. We may count, it seems, on Yardistan and Kildare. Brookshire is in doubt, and we will deal with Elwynn later. How speaks Staylight?

As Mr. Andelarion is in truth Shah of Babkha he is ineligible by Shirithian law and custom.

It is time to restore Shirithian Law.

Rally to Me!

Long live the Kaiser! Long live the restoration of the laws of the Imperial Republic!

We shall defend our proud nation and the rightful Kaiser Loki II(I), whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender. - Commander Zirk of the Kildarian Imperial Support Forces (KISF). :demon

As Bailiff of Lac Glacei I offer the Lac Glacei Liberation League (LGLL) in support of the true Kaiser. Our armored ice cream (I scream haha) trucks are equipped with cannons firing ice cream bombs at a temperature of about 1 Kelvin. They'll freeze your ass. We also have more conventional and boring troops.

All hail Loki II/III!!! :worship

Commander Zirk: We need to destroy the false Imperial forces with ice cream.

Lower Lunaris declares neutrality and asks any waterborne traffic involved in the dispute passing the mouth of the River Elwynn to keep to the west bank. Should my noble Duke-in-Regency Erik Mortis decide to bring Brookshire into the conflict, I shall be pleading conscientious objection.

Hmm... Since Lac Glacei is kinda all over the place, we won't be needing the River Elwynn. Me thinks.

As Grand Admiral I order all units not involved in patrolling Gascony to sea, to rendezvous at point X-Ray Baker.

Having at least made a show of respect to the Andelarion government, I was kind of indecisive... until I saw who you'd chosen as steward.

Your Niftiness, Loki II, Straylight stands by you! Together we will drive out the false kaiser, though not out of the country, only far enough to get him off the throne!

(I still opine Ric would have made a wonderful leader - it's just that, as he said himself, he would have been a kaiser without the people's support. Maybe next time?)

Thank you, Ari! That means a lot!

I confirmed your Ministry, BTW.

I want to visit with Ric about old times in Puritania. He seems to write well, and from what little I remember of Ancient Days, I think he is an Ok person.

September will be here all too quickly, so I want to jump on some things right after the Funeral.

Are we in rebellion or what? This seems rather lame. Where are the burning barns and where can I find some women to ravish? COME ON! Let's get on with it!

I still don't understand why Ari named me emissary to the Landsraad for Straylight, and now why Loki has named me Steward. I am not a politician of any distiction. I've done nothing spectacular for anyone. I'm not a good story teller. Where is this faith in me as a voice coming from?

Just throwing this one out there - Ari recognises his Finnishness and the Finnishness of Icebreaker, Shyriath isn't here, so you're most senior? :fish

I'm also one of the newer citizens of Shireroth, as well as among the youngest and least experienced...

Then the answer is simple - they don't like you and are trying to mess with your head.

No, if I wanted to mess with his head, I name him Heir and disappear.

Pbth! I don't want to be Kaiser, anyway. I'm in no way qualified...

Nor would I have any support from the people (except Jess, of course)...

I'd support Liam! :D

But Seriously, this anti-kaiser must be crushed! His forces vanquished! Himself, well may I say, BO0/\/\'d :tomcutterhamonfire

Heil Loki!

Heil Benkern

Death to the Anti-Kaiser!

BTW, as you guessed, HLoS pledges full support towards Loki II (III?) If he is not our kaiser, we will seceed!
