Treaty with Nova England

I've got Joe to agree to this. Please, could a Duke propose it and pass it?
Peace Treaty of Gascony
Between the Kingdom of Nova England and the Imperial Republic of Shireroth
RECOGNISING that the conflict we found ourselves in was unnecessary; and
DESIRING its cessation with minimal further loss of life; also
SEEKING the government of Bosworth in a manner that allows the original citizens to lead while ensuring no danger to the Imperial Republic, we, the undersigned, do resolve the following:
The immediate cessation of all hostilities between Nova England and Shireroth.
The return of all Nova English POWs to Nova English hands.
The withdrawal of all Nova English troops from Gascony, with the exception of a battallion to guard the fiefdom of Lord Richard.
The recognition of the fiefdom of Lord Richard as the first of the new state of Bosworth, entitled to its own defence, and willing to work with the Shirithian occupiers.
And putting pressure on our various allies to continue the cessation of hostilities so that a full withdrawal of Shirithian troops and a free, peaceful and safe Bosworth may both occur.

How about "respectfully approaching our allies".
Allies should be coaxed, not pressured.

This treaty makes it seem Shireroth is to be the toady for Nova England. I do not see how this benefits Shireroth at all.

Does it? I thought it the other way around? All we actually give them is 50 odd POWs and a small Fiefdom. In return, they leave the war entirely. But if you'd like it to be reworded, I can ...

I think the pressure on our allies clause should be removed entirely. They are in no position to dictate policy to Shireroth.

That was me actually. I did write this treaty (maybe I've just got into the habit of writing treaties that get me exactly what I want while sounding supplicating to the other person so they sign them ...). You realise that clause says that Joe must do all in his power to ask Jeremy to surrender?

That means we give up the crown to a Bosworthian, but we make sure it's at a time they're not going to attack us. Surely the IC reason for contuing occupation is the possible danger of rebellions and Bosworthian uprising against Shireroth?

Treaty of St. Jean
Between the Kingdom of Nova England and the Imperial Republic of Shireroth
Where it has been recognised that the continuation of hostilities between the two parties is futile, and so as to avert any further unnecessary destruction it has been resolved that the following terms be enacted:
1. That there shall be an immediate cessation of all hostilities between the armed forces of the respective parties.
2. That all prisoners of war shall be repatriated after debriefing by the appropriate authorities.
3. That all remaining Nova English Forces in the theatre of operations shall be withdrawn.
4. Concerning the person and fiefdom of Lord Richard:
4.a. The Fiefdom of Lord Richard "the Middle March" shall be recognised as an autonomous entity within the Duchy of Gascony.
4.b. In return for cooperation with the occupation authorities, the Middle Marches shall be entitled to raise a battalion of local defence volunteers to defend the property and rights of Lord Richard.
5. The parties to this treaty shall agree to encourage, through constructive dialogue, all belligerent parties to this war to come to an amicable resolution and a lasting peace.

Subtle differences - addressing the fact we cannot force our respective allies into actions against their will but merely 'advise' them - and making it more clear that it was only the conflict with Nova England that was unnecessary.

Um ... could someone put one of these in Landsraad, so we can get this sorted before the withdrawal of our forces? We know Joe's agreed to my version, but Ardy doesn't seem to like it. It's no good passing his if Joe doesn't like it though ... so anyway, start something happening about it in the Landsraad.
