Things that happened since you were last here:
-Shireroth declined and almost died
-Erik came back, became Kaiser, and fixed it up
-Babkha joined a YAMO called the Grand Commonwealth, almost died, and left just in time.
-A lot of the Babkhans came here, and now Hesam Jahandar is Kaiser.
-Erik led a (fake) communist revolt
-There's a problematic recwar against people who don't really understand recwar that we're trying to end before it consumes us all
-People from a magic-themed country called Gralus and a Dutch country called Batavia joined us, and now we're full of dual-cit foreigners who despite their divided loyalties are mostly awesome people.
-Former Cyberian firebrand Jacobus Loki became Shirerithian, helped us through the dark days before Erik came back, and is now at 3:2 odds to become the next Kaiser
-Erik quit as Duke of Brookshire in favor of an mostly-inactive new guy named Yvain, and Yvain put Erik back in charge until he gets back.
-Babkha's sorta dying, though they'll deny this.
-There's a stupid evil mapping organization called the GSO, which is competing with MCS. They're doing a bad job but still have a lot of people because they're loud and stubborn.
-Some people in the MCS think we're too big and powerful, but that's crazytalk.

Great summary... you didn't mention how illegitimate and ineffective and filled-with-internal-turmoil the GSO is but at least you got the "stupid" and "evil" bits right.

Ah yes, I faded away just as the GSO was revving itself up. To be honest I'm surprised they lasted this long.

Still, nice to know Shireroth is absorbing folks from around Micras through what I can only describe as patent witchcraft. I liken this place to an old oak tree. Storms, fires, hurricanes all take their toll and push things to the brink of death, but as long as there's a few green leaves poking out we're all good.

The notion of Kaiser Jacobus fills me with.... something.

My own intentions are to get Lower Lunaris back, reunite it with Upper Lunaris as per historical precedent and approval of the relevant parties, write up a comprehensive history of the place and generally piddle around the other forums seeding activity. Any and all assistance for my nefarious plans would be, of course, greatly appreciated.
