Jonas, Jacobus, other people involved: I see you're starting to get somewhere in organising this new nation. Excellent! That means it's soon time to kick you out .

You see, this forum currently exists because, well, I created it. I consider it a creative misuse of the lack of legislation over forum administration in Shireroth. For convenience, if it makes you happier, I guess we could consider this forum part of Straylight, but I prefer to think it's a legally completely separate forum that just happens to be hosted in Shireroth.

In other words, I reserve the right to do what I wish with this forum. Hear this, then:

You have ten days.

The land claim that's meant to go to the Vrystaat is in danger because of the existence of this forum - as long as the forum is hosted here, the land claim is practically a Shirithian one, for pretty much any purpose except Shirithian law. As things are, I think we can agree that we can trust the MCS wouldn't accept such a claim.

Shireroth's integrity on the intermicronational scene is in danger for the same reasons.

So, in order to minimise this danger, ten days from now I will archive this forum. You have until then to find an alternative place to host it.

BTW, a slight amendment to my counterproposal: Since you seem to be doing pretty well at the getting-some-distance-between-you-and-the-Landsraad thing, I'll relax my demands. Just host the nation somewhere outside of Shireroth, and I promise to be personally involved in its functioning. Seek to keep it inside Shireroth, though, and... I can make no promises.

Oh, and btw, yes, I did screw up by creating this forum. Shouldn't have done that. Sorry about that. That's why I'm trying to get rid of it now.

Perhaps so, but it's quite decent of you to give fair notice before you pull the plug. I think this (mistaken) forum has given this fledgling country a decent chance of survival.

@Andreas: The only benefit to phpbb would be access to the db which 1) wouldn't be that important anyways 2) prolly wouldn't come with free phpbb. Aside from obviously familiarity. And I've nuff experience if you really need help.

(I realise the group functions might entice you also but the same effect can be pretty much achieved with proboards albeit in a round about way - still I don't see why that would be important in this instance)

Does where we're posting really matter? No, not at all, except if we're posting here in which case it's detrimental to... uh... Ari. I realise some of you may be looking to put it on your own forum for perhaps selfish reasons - not necessarily to get power or something, but for convenience's sake. Bear in mind I'm not involved in Gralus or Batavie, neither is Jacobus. If we were going by number of people for convenience then it would have to be here (obviously ) then Gralus, but neither of those places are looking to host permanently (if at all).

So long as we have a safe place to post thatis all we need. Thanks for setting it up. I'm sure we can go from here.

Gralus would be temporary if it was there.

And I prefer phpbb because it looks nicer, to be honest ...
