Be careful of what you ask for. Quantity can be generated by a decline in quality (and spelling, etc.)

What we need is a pointless but heated argument ...
I know, lets start a war, but this time have it fought on our forums ...

We sort of did that twice recently, there was the time with Erik's paratroopers doing stuff (I think) and then there was almost the time Hesam almost became Shah of Babkha.

We could always do it the Tokian way. Pointless yet entertaining posts filling several hundred pages...

Or we could combine those with posts that actually accoimplish something...

Why do we want to accomplish anything, and what do we want to accomplish?
We could start an endless story, or revive the word association thread, ask everyone to post there on the way in or out....

Or we could engage in endless tail-chasing, just mindlessly posting just to post. I prefer doing something productive with my posts at least occasionally. The number of posts per day is less important to me than if there is some value to what is said in them.

Ah, but notice how my pointless posts are contributing to an intelligent conversation? This is the beauty of the Tokian way...

Well, in the 12 days of this month, we've already exceeded total monthly posts from last month ... so lets see if it stays up at 181 ppd ...

historical precedent suggest that as the current issue looses it's flavour a new development would be necessary to increase post inertia. The trouble is, to continue at this rate, with the current issue being the generator of the high level of posts would mean the posts will turn mean and nasty. When that happens, we may well likely get to 200 posts a day, but only before something less preferable happens. Usually in these types of things, that means someone or a group of people will leave once the argument hits its zenith. At that point, the argument will fizzle out and the post count will drop dramatically.
To maintain the level of posts, we require a new development which is not inflammatory, interesting and community inclusive.

Some sort of controversial political/legal/cultural reform perhaps? Some kind of competition?

Well people want official resolution on the Kaiser thing. It's making everyone angry. So resolution for that has to happen before anything new. The reason is that people won't want to move onto a new issue if the old problem of "who's the Kaiser?" is still around.

It feels like Kaiser Ayreon only has to take the last decisive step now for all of this to be over (kinda). Start acting like a Kaiser. Maybe doing something.

On topic... would it be optimistic to say we may leave
Sclavinia in the dust this month? Yes, yes it would, but we're consolidating our position as 3rd most active recorded micronation and 2nd most active recorded anglophone micronation!
