Petition to the Kaiser/Steward regarding Jasonia

Your Niftiness, honourable Stewart,
As you may have heard, I've been doing some considerable research on Jasonia and other early Apollonian history recently, and my Duke and I intend a little archaeology later. But to confirm some details ... I crave permission for a temporary access all areas pass to JASO, to research what information they may have left about their original founders, and also to look through a few ancient MOMA archives. I would be greatly obliged if you would grant me these research passes - I would only need them for a couple weeks.

Your humble servant,
Andreas the Wise,
Baron of Atterock
(OOC: This request is only in character, I don't think I actually need real access to any secret forums, unless we do have secret Jasonian records somewhere ...)

These are the only keys I have-

http://www.shireroth.org/shirewiki/Jasonia

the links at the bottom of the page work - --I think---

All I ask is that you add any de-classified info to the wiki.

Sakat be with you.

Thankyou, my Steward. I had the Wiki page already, but not the other one. I will indeed add the results of my archaeology into the Wiki. I look forward to the Benacian Pact when I can ask the historians of Shireroth many more questions, instead of researching myself ...

Historical research isn't only about knowing where to find the archives, it's also about knowing the original names of things.

Unfortunately, the actual content is almost completely lost, and only the indices are left - and even those are spotty. Reading these archives is more likely to tantalise and even mislead than provide relevant information... still, there are a few interesting tidbits to be found in there:

- Number 1 public enemy of the FIoJ? Why, UEC of course, if you count the lawsuits (actually, Thomas Hubert was the guy who everyone hated, but I think he was considered too immature for the legal system, so people went for the second best instead). Then again, UEC also apparently was a judge, so... well, that's Jasonia for you :p
(Actually, nobody ever really took the lawsuits too seriously. Well, Bill might have. We always loved Erik, at least when we could tell what he was saying)

- Scott conspired (in public) to force Jasonian to stay president after he'd... uh... I guess we had presidential terms (don't remember how long they were, though), so his term had ran out. I think.

- surprisingly many of the forums were private. What was up with that? I didn't remember that the City of the Sun was a private forum, for instance...

And finally: "June 18th Skyline news: nothing at all is going on.____Zeppelin Rules____PEople are really bored.___School is out for many so activity might rise"

Wouldn't that have been the Fireball? Jasonia folded before the Skyline existed.

That was the FIoJ Skyline, i.e. the newsticker at the top of FIoJ's forum. The Apollo Skyline is what came later :).

Also, as a matter of fact, I just checked our classified archive and while we don't have anything *from* Jasonia in there, we do have a lot of things of interest regarding our relationship with the islands... mostly plans to destroy it ;). Your Niftiness, with your permission, I would like to allow Andreas here access to the archive. (only Andreas, though - some of the stuff in there is still kind of hot, even if years old)

Plans to destroy the islands are exactly what I need ... I don't know if anyone's read my archaeological reports on sites of interest in Novatainia. I did find the Solaralwiki, which I think, for my purposes, is the most useful thing I could ever have found ...

Your Niftiniess? (now the issue with Jacobus is resolved, if not happily, I'd like to drown my sorrow in some historical research if I may.)

Also, is there anyone currently active in Shireroth still serving on SSHIT? And could I become a SSHIT historian?

Andreas, for the purposes of your study and since you've taken such an interest in the old ways, I put you under the guidance of Ari. By this I mean that Ari will make the judgment on what is appropriate to access and what should remain guarded.

And as a thought: There are two schools of thought on the acquisition and dissemination of information. The first school believes that information should be doled out in as small portions as possible, and that the one who has the information has the power. The second school believes that by sharing information freely, the collective group will exceed any power a single individual can obtain.

Since our hobby is solely based on data transfer, this has given me something to think about.

I gave Andreas access to the classified archive.

Andreas: Remember, this data's gone through moves from ezBoard to phpBB2 to phpBB2+CH to phpBB3, so it's not quite pristine... that is, the first few posts of threads are often in the wrong order. Don't ask me why... most of the time you can figure out the real order pretty easily, though.

Ok, thankyou Hasan and Ari. I will treat this information with the utmost secrecy - if anyone's gone to Novatainia and read my archaeological reports, a lot of this is more IC info than OOC info (as I got all of that I could want from the Solaralwiki). But if there is a map for attacking the isles, that could be very helpful. Naturally I will only "share" the information to the extent of making a few hints at possessing "archived" info ...
