Some folks at the MCS have apparently decided it would be a good idea to found a council to "monitor and measure culture of MCS nations". I've kind of considered it a silly idea right from the start, but I just realised that just because I don't like it doesn't mean that you shouldn't be told that you have been nominated to be a member.

As far as I understand, this job would consist of going through http://dr-spangle.com/Forumlist/index.p ... ture_items and rating cultural items, and of deciding with other committee members what kind of scales items can be rated on. You can click on the numbers in the "cultural items" column to see what kinds of things nations are submitting.

So, uh, if you think you're not interested, you might want to say so in the voting thread... and if you are interested, you might want to tell Liam, who probably would vote for you, and me (I think I could convince dr-spangle ).

Note, by the way, that they have six nominees and the council will be five strong, so you'd make the vote rather decisive very quickly if you tell them to GTFO

I'm all sorts of confused...

My advice is as follows: if you're generally opposed to the idea, say you don't want the position. However, if you really dislike the idea and want it to end, gladly accept the position then work to destroy the organisation from the inside.
