I've put the treaty-in-a-can before them, and it needs Landsraad approval. They meet all the requirements and are all-around nice blokes. Please refer to the USSRAT Discussion and the USSRAT Website and Forums.

As long as we don't have to subscribe to their political or economic systems, or to support them should they find themselves in a micronational war, I have no objection to a treaty of friendship with USSRAT. Yes, they seem to be alright to interact with, and they do have an interesting premise for their nation. Yes, go with it.

These "Commies" are some of the most inventive folks I've seen in a long time. Remember even Molossia was communist once.

Their graphics are very good, in my less-than -earned opinion. This could be an opening to the German speaking community.

Sorry, was using Babkhan sarcasm. As a former PRNSE'er I can validate that communist micronations can be quite productive. Especially "People's commune No. 343 which has listed as most productive post manufacturer this year!"

Commies aren't too bad, like most of the Americans think. The idea (theory) was good, but Lenin and the others used it on the wrong way.
I think that the feeling that Europeans have now against Americans isn't a lot better then how they thought/think about commies.

But: I don't hate you, Americans! :no

Actually, Lenin wasn't all that bad, it was Stalin ... or at least that's the impression I got from Animal Farm.

Now, Marxism as opposed to communism is a very different matter ...

Ow no, there you make a mistake. Lenin was evil... Stalin was evil... and that other gut (Trotski?) was dead begore he got the change to become evil...

Lenin was the one who killed democracy. That's why I love him (not) :love

:no

Personally, I'm for Democratic Socialism. Communism is sound in theory, but there's just no way it could be applied to today's large countries...

Rather Lenin was the one who killed monarchy of russia. But ok, he was evil. This was why his family was killed by soldiers of the czar. All in all socialism isn't socialism. For example the socialism of soviet was'nt the socialism of Karl Marx, but sovietsocialism perverted marxism. Player of ASSRAZ aren't commies, I think. ASSRAZ is rather a satire. But in Germany's micronationalism there are some realy commies. Sometimes they cry against ASSRAZ and everytime they cry against Mr. Höhnli. :thumbsup

Lenikilled the monarchy, thousands of people where killed and the democratic 'Sovjets' (little parliaments in whole the country) that where created after the dead of the czar got abolished.
Read 1984, from George Orwell, and you see what the reasons and goals of the revolution of Lenin where.

I wont come to Lenin's defence. I gave just the psychological reason. When Lenin was a child he was kindly, heartily and very humorous. Then his brother was executed, becoause he planned to kill the czar. Thenceforwards Lenin had never laughed again. He became rigorously and ruthless.

Maybe it was Trotsky, not Lennin ... which one was represented by Snowball ... its been so long since I studied this in Grade 9.

So you say Lenin was in search of revenge against the Czar?

Napoleon was Stalin, The old Boar was Marx, Snowball was Trotsky, the old man was the Czar, the horse was the proletariat, the crow was the clergy,

But Orwell wasn't a fool. Animal Farm was an allegory for ANY revolution, not just the Russian revolution.

I think the intent is to explain, not exonerate.

And I sense that USSRAT in it's heart are Groucho-Marxists, and so I call them Comrades and brothers

In German micronationalism exists three kinds of socialist nations. First the confident socialists who belive in this philosophy. They to discuss socialism, communism and marxism in detail. They spend a lot of time with discussions about such topics. Secondly, realistic simulations. The player try to create a historical model. Last but not least the satirical micronations for example ASSRAZ. It underlines the amusing aspect of socialism. So you can't realy debate a ideology of socialism with ASSRAZ. ;)

I thought it sounded satirical ... if you say it actually is, then I say, definitely, give them the treaty. And Rudolf, you might like to check out the Jokerdom on Spangle's list ...

Just looking at the name--appending "at the Zoo" to it gives us the clear indication it isn't a seriously marxist country. I agree--let's enact a treaty of friendship between our two countries.
