Let it be known that the Baron, in his infinite wisdom, has seen fit to establish an Atterock Fleet as the defense force of the Barony, considering that it is a Barony of Islands (or, in Old Hallucination's place, a land girt by inland sea). As such, all counties are required to provide a naval detachment for the main fleet. In addition, each County will have their own small flotilla for immediate defence. The berth for the main fleet has yet to be decided. May the Baron think forever!

Real World Note: The Counties don't actually HAVE to fight with me in a recwar, if you're someone like Nick who's more so in another division, but just saying you give me a few ships and what type (something suitably local) would be appreciated.

It is good to see another naval facility being established in this Duchy. The headquarters for the fleet have traditionally been at Port Nevermore, where also is established a pirate colony. I have also founded there an emporium for rare and priceless artifacts, and an high adventure school and expedition base. You are welcome, of course, to visit us in Port Nevermore.

Ah, the irony ... a fleet suits Atterock perfectly, but the only units I've commanded in Recwars are air or ground ....

This fleet will be raised to fight in the war! To arms, my Melangians .... well, to boats anyway. And bring the sea planes ... we may need them ...

The mustering of forces was finally finished. The Atterock Navy, created near the start of his reign by the Baron, Andreas the Wise, was finally going to see some international action. Considering the nature of the conflict, the force was a fair spread across the counties. The Battleship and Destroyers came from Biotopia, but were crewed by the Melangians. They were a diminuitive race but perfectly at home in the sea, and so perfect to crew a ship for a long voyage. The marines were made up of a mix of ex-Pirates from Norfolk, and the swathy dark skinned men from Gong Li, from where the Helicopters also came. From Halluci came the gift of 10 planes, with a lovely pine-scented, re-envisioned interior.
