Temples in Counties

I'm somewhat confused over how Cedrism operates in various counties. Does Shireroth treat each county like a Christian diocese, with a bishop each, or are they all treated as subject to a chief temple of the duchy they're located in?
I'm designing a map of Brookshire Hamlet and need to know quite how vast I should make its Cedrist temple ;)

Well, there are rather a lot of gods to go around ...

Eh, if it were up to me it'd probably be the former, I really don't think Cedrism would be organised enough to reflect the feudal structure...

... still... vast temples... good...

Sooo... doesn't Cedrism have an organised hierarchy?
Please note that although I am interested in Cedrism, I do not wish to get involved in its complexities as an ordained member of its priesthood or whatever - far too much of that in Matbaa for my liking ;)
Anyway, I've dedicated Brookshire Hamlet's temple to Malarbor himself.

You don't really have to get that involved. All you really have to know is that it is great to make things go BOOM. So, take any handy grenade or firecracker, pull the pin or light the fuse, and throw it in joyful celebration.

*picks up grenade*

Cackles insanely

*rips out pin and lobs it*

Hey... Kinda fun! Better than Matbaic Orthodoxy at any rate lol ;)

The only organization to the religion on the mortal level is the main Temple in Mirioth, and the High Priest, and the main priests of the various gods there.. Myself being the Priest of Mors. Outside that, there is no organization. Kinda the point.

I see. Doesn't explain why the Shirewiki page on Cedrism seems so complex tho...
B'caw must be the best Cedrist deity out there! :)

Malarbor will turn you into plant food! Then subsequently eat you! On account of him being a Tree Demon! As well as God of Forum Colours! :worship

Don't forget to have a marble bust of Alexander the Great in the temple :)

Why for Alexander the Great? He's not a god...

True... but he's the reason why we're so particular about forum colours...

There's gotta be a story to this ...
*guesses* Hegemony of Alexandros, that a good start?

Indeed. This story, too, can be found in Microscope.... it's a very short one, though. See page 61.

That actually does sound short for most Micronational literature ;)

Bah to B'Caw I say!

*is buried in a rainfall of spicy fried chicken*

Malarbor shall save me from a spicy, spicy death!

*leaves blow past and gently attempt to push one of the pieces of chicken off the top of the mound atop Benkern*

Ugh... this is gonna be a long, toil-stricken life, I can tell.

So, Kaisers' names are taken from Cedrist gods? Excellent!
In that case, I'd be Kaiser B'Caw I

No - didn't know Mors was a god anyway - but I think Erik's been obsessed with death and the like since before Cedrism... or the time at which all the divine census-ness got underway.

But I support you in your Kaiser B'Caw endeavour! ;)

B'Caw! :thumbsup

... and my first Kaiser's order will be to start up a chain of micronational Nando's or KFC. We need something like Hadjimehmet's coffee house here

Popeye's is good too... more spicy then KFC by a long shot...

Yes.. I do have a slight obsession with death...

Ohhh, yes, Popeye's is good for the spicy chicken. We finally have one in town now.

*Knows he's said he never wants to be Kaiser again, but... has ALWAYS wanted to do that.*

Kaisers' names aren't all taken from Cedrist gods, but it is a popular source of inspiration.

I consider it a tradition, and it displeases me when they aren't... (notably.. no actual female Kaiser has EVER not used their own name.... fun fact..)

Those who are new here may not even realize there were a bunch of Kaiseresses with names other than their own, but they were all actually males hiding behind the female personna.

Never really got that. Semisa? Sai'kar? It's confusing personas like these that got Bill all messed up. :P
