The Fedayeen used to drive around on Vespa scooters, indeed I believe a charge by the 'Vespa-Jihadis' was instrumental in saving Acre back in the days of the Jaris War.
But an armoured penny-farthing puts chaps on vespas firing rocket propelled grenades firmly in the shade.

What, pray tell, is a penny farthing?

A bicycle with a great big wheel and a little tiny wheel. Popular in the 1890's.
A Farthing (1/4d) was a little larger than a US 1-cent piece, and a Penny (1d) was about the size of a half-dollar.
A wonderful metaphor.

I can't wait to see a penny farthing as a platform for a battle-wagon. I hope someone posts a concept drawing.

Naw, he's Gryphon Avocatio. Don't worry about that, we confused the two of them at first, too (even though the "Gryphon" in their names is pretty much the only thing they share)... just call Gryphon Avocatio Nick and Gryphon the Pure Joseph and you should be OK (as long as you don't confuse the former with Foghorn

).

Howdy Nick... I suspected this topic might cause you to say.. something... But as I doubt you'll even check back.. I'll just talk to you by the half dozen other means I have for doing such.. like AIM, the Phone, in person... LJ... Facebook...etc...

Wow, is the Nick... briefly, at least...
...
I dunno. Is the appearance of Nick talking about pennyfarthings a good omen, or a sign of the End Times?
Speaking of which:

I actually recall seeing something like that in a computer game once. Probably not in enough graphical detail to be worth getting a screenshot of, though... or digging up the game... I think it was the sci-fi scenario in Civilization: Test of Time.
