Anyone else noticed that Yardistan is the title of both a County and the Duchy as a whole? I mean, I understand the historical reasoning (vaguely) but doesn't it seem a bit odd and unnecessarily confusing?

No, the Duchy of Yardistan is a duchy and the County of Yardistan is a county
Maybe a little bit confusing...

meh, traditionally it makes sense and i have no problem with it. also, should the duchy change the name lives on, whereas should my Barony wane (Melvin Forbid
) the name Vorpmadal would be allocated to the rarely read archives and the minds of its citizens.

I have been wondering the same thing. I miss the days of "We've got what it takes to take what you've got." I even have a YAC sticker on my computer. Bring back the YAC!! (Where's the imperial picketer when you need her??)
btw, for those who are new to Shireroth, the YAC stands for the Yardistani Annexation Corps, which was very active in the past.
