The Children of Húrin

As I'm sure some of you are aware, Christopher Tolkien, son of the famous author of the Lord of the Rings series, has compiled and edited his late father's notes into a book detailing the Tale of the Children of Húrin (hence the title). It was released over here in the UK on the 17th of April, and, as books usually go, probably the same date in the US.

More information about the book can be found here on Wikipedia (WARNING - as is Wikipedia's nature, they'll be spoilers in there). I have bought the book myself although I have yet to read it. Anyone else bought it/read it/heard about it? To any LotR enthusiast, or indeed anyone who takes interest in the Fantasy genre, this is big news! :)

Thanks so much. I became a convert to Tolkien's writings back in 1967 when I was in community college. The first edition paperback editions of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings had just been published here, and they formed a great part of our literature course. Since then I have read everything Tolkien I could get my hands on, and own the videos of course, so I thank you for this great news.

Should this book also come out in the Low Lands? :confused

It's no problem to inform Shireroth's citizens of such things. I consider it a pleasure. :)

And as for a release in the Netherlands? The Wikipedia Article has this to say:
The book was published on 17 April 2007, by HarperCollins in the United Kingdom and by Houghton Mifflin in the United States.
It doesn't mention a publishing elsewhere. :( But you could order it from the UK if you're a crazed fanatic in need of your LotR fix. :p

I am very curious to see how this book turned out. I've heard criticism in the past about JRR Tolkein's son and his ability to carry on his father's work. I'll be getting a copy as soon as possible.
