I don't know where to place it therefore I have chosen this topic in this sub-fora(or how you call it?) to give mine lessons of the Dutch language.
The First Lesson
The Netherlands: Nederlands
Belgium: België
Flanders: Vlaanderen(the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium).
I: Ik
You:
It: het
He/she: hij/zij
We: wij
They: zij
Homework: study! Study and study!

Thank you for your first lesson in Dutch. I have often wished to learn some of your language, so am glad for the opportunity. And, yes, this is the perfect place for your class in language.

Okay, in the future I will place my other lessons(of Dutch) here.
We will learn to make sentences and maybe there will come exams too.

Dutch is an difficult language therefore you must
listen very carefully, because I say this only once(from 'Allo 'Allo

).

Now in Dutch:
In een plaats
genaamd Vertigo!
The word in italic means: called.

andelarion wrote:Hmm... let's see

lol

Ehh, good for a beginning student
My name is Richard
Mijn naam is Richard or
Ik noem Richard
I live in a place called Sweden
Ik leef in een plaats genaamd Zweden or
Ik woon in een plaats genaamd Zweden.
to live is
wonen:
ik woon I live
jij woont you live
hij/zij woont He/she lives
wij wonen they live
jullie wonen you live(plural!)
zij wonen they live
To live means also
leven in Dutch but in sentences as: I live!
Wonen is for sentences as: I live in Germany.
Plaats = place(not so difficult

)

The numbers
1: een(or
één, this is mostly used to know the pronouncement)
We use 'één' in sentences like:
There is one channel on TV(my God!

)
Er is één zender op TV.
We use 'een' in sentences like:
We have one car.
We hebben één auto.
We are to lazy to write
één therefore it isn't terrible if you don't write it so(the most of us don't do it to

).
--------
2: twee
3: drie
4: vier
5: vijf
6: zes
7: zeven
8: acht
9: negen
10: tien
11: elf
12: twaalf
13: dertien
14: veertien
From now, it's easy:
15:
vijftien
16:
zestien
17: zeventien
18: achttien
19: negentien
20: twintig(difficult?)
21: een
entwintig
22: twee
ëntwintig
23: drie
ëntwintig
...
30: dertig
40: veertig
50: vijftig
60: zestig
70: zeventig
80: tachtig
90: negentig
100: honderd(no, not hunderd)
And a new word to understand

:
Explosives: explosieven

I ask
ik vraag
you asks
jij vraagt
He/she asks
hij/zij vraagt
they ask
wij vragen
you ask(plural!)
jullie vragen
they ask
zij vragen
--
an example/een voorbeeld:
They ask a lot money.
Zij vragen veel geld.
Posted: Fri Mar 16, 2007 1:33 pm
by andelarion
"Hebt jij veel geld in mijn plaats?" vraag ik.
Have you got a lot of money in my place, I ask
