To all our citizens and friends:

As the new year begins, I would like to issue a challenge to all of you. This year, let's all post at least twice a week. I am sure you have that much time. To all the dukes: please poll your citizens and come up with a plan to build up your respective duchies. We will all need to come up with ideas to increase tourism once the new rail system is in place. I am open to any and all suggestions to increase activity and, yes, controversy. I think the old shrine of controversy has been disused far too long. Perhaps a good, old-fashioned argument is what is needed. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Ah, New Years, one of my favorite holidays! When else is it common to set off explosive poppers inside one's own living room? Explosions! Bangs! The lovely scent of freshly burned gunpowder, to ring in a new year. (We just won't talk about who gets to vacuum it all up the next day. )

Anyway, a happy 2007 to all of Shireroth, and I agree we need to be more active! I'll be starting a new off-topic game shortly to see how many people want to participate.
