Tri-national Rail System Planned

To the People of Shireroth:

The leaders of the countries of Norona and Landingberg have proposed, and I have committed Shireroth as well, to establish an extensive rail system which will connect major cities in our three countries. Norona and Landingberg are north west and north east of the Duchy of Kildare, respectively, and are countries friendly with our own. I believe it is in the interest of all our countries to encourage interaction with our nearest neighbors. I would like to hear your input on this. Duke Andelarion has agreed to draw up a treaty to formalize this plan. At present we await the proposed rail maps, and plan to add to it cities of our own. The Duchies of Boreal-Elwynn and Yardistan also plan a rail system linking their cities. If you would like to have cities included in this plan please post your suggestions.

We are eager to move forward with both systems. Any suggestions are eagerly sought. Thank you.

Carol, first of the name, Kaiseress of Shireroth

I shall be glad to see more friendly countries join with us. We see a system something like the one in Europe--one can get on in any country in the EU and travel throughout Europe with easy passage among countries, and minimum hassle at border crossings. This has done much to bring the peoples of Europe (and all the tourists) closer together. I am afraid that in the United States our rail system is not up to the European standard, with hours-long delays for freight trains and other problems, and far too few scheduled trains, except in busy commute corridors. Our country relies primarily on roads and air for long-distance travel. Lovely has had a number of delightful tourists visit Shireroth, and we feel that this system would make this more convenient and pleasant. We are always glad to have visitors to Shireroth.

Milady,

I am in the process of drafting a treaty. Are there any special provisions you would like included in this treaty?

Duke Andelarion:

I would like to consult with the leaders of the other two (or perhaps three) nations involved to see what provisions might be desired from their point of view. I think the most important provision would necessarily be that this is never to be used as an adjunct to an agressive action, but is only to be used for peaceful purposes by peaceloving, friendly nations, and with the smallestt-possible disruption in traversing national borders. I also think it important that we strengthen the friendly relationships among our peoples. I am certain the other leaders would agree this can only bring positive results. A map should also be included, showing cities to be connected within the countries. Each of us will be drawing up a list of cities for the rail system. We should be able to draft the treaty in its entirety within the week. Thank you so very much for your work on this.

Ma'am,

I propse that the treaty be signed in Leifgrad (our Capital) in the Hall of St. George, The Headquarters be based in Landingberg, and the Offical opening of the Railroad be in Shireroth.

Each nation would have a district headquarters as well

Also why not (once created) connect this rail system to Lovely or other nation near us? maby create some sort of body like the EU as you said?
