"The End of VUAS and Natopian Domination"
Published by the Lavalonian Advocate
It happened about a year ago, when the Republic of Lavalon was perilously close to death. On May 29, 2005, in its darkest hour, Lavalon had been illegally and immorally annexed by Natopia via the ill-fated VUAS treaty. In one of those moments in micro-national history that reminds us of the triumph of democracy over tyranny and the power of the republican form of government, the shameless VUAS treaty was magnanimously overturned by supreme court justices Zachary Azillin and Matthew Basil. The court's ruling on that fine day not only freed Lavalon from the shackles of Natopian political slavery and torture, but also required Lavalon to move its online forums off of the horrendously oppressive ProBoards forums system used by Natopia. In truth, this powerful, magnificent event, made possible by the labor of a couple of typical Lavalonians, who were nonetheless honorable patriots of the highest degree, served as a beacon of hope for the new year and the next generation of Lavalonian immigrants, and redefined the rebellious, independent, and proud nature of Lavalonianess.
May Fate Bless Lavalon and Reward its Allies!
