The Golden Mango Throne

This is probably not a very good drawing--and I daresay the copy is crap (I don't have a scanner, so I had to take a photo of the drawing)--but this is sort of the mental picture I developed of the Golden Mango Throne. I know, it's cultural minutiae, and nobody cares, but here it is, anyway.

The throne is based partly on the throne of Edward Longshanks, and also on the conjectural drawing of Frederick Barbarossa's throne in the cenematics of Age of Empires II: the Age of Kings. Please excuse my illogical shading and incomplete details! Also, the throne is not very grand n stature, b ut anyway!!!

Having been the one to name and describe the Throne in the first place (I think), I care quite a bit... and I've been dying to see someone try to draw the thing for ages. Very nice!

It's actually a better drawing than it appears, but as it is, it suffices. Of course, there would be more detail than just a few engraved mangoes, but honestly, I didn't feel like drawing all of it. :p

Pretty good!

Hint: I grey scale all my pencil sketches after I scan them. Then leave them at 16 million colors, resize them smaller (makes them look better for some reason), reduce to 256 colors, and save as a gif. It removes the jpeg artifacts (since it's a gif) and blurriness.

Uploaded jpegs also always seem to have their colors altered too. It doesn't happen with gifs for some reason.

This reminds me of Twain's comment that Wagner's music is better than it sounds. But I can get the general idea from it and it looks very creative. One day when we're a big empire and can hire metalsmiths and stuff we'll have to make it...actually, speaking of metalsmiths, what is it made out of? Gold?[/quote]

It is made out of a mysterious, reddish stone and is heavily gilded.
