I, Shyriath, Duke of Naudia'Diva, proclaim and decree the following:

-That, in accordance with the directives of the late Kaiser Alejian II, the Barony of Northern Brookshire shall be dissolved, and that the only remaining County of that Barony, Benacia, shall be made an independent County under this Duchy.

-That, reflecting our diminished vote count in the Landsraad, the number of votes possessed by the Duke shall be decreased from 10 to 8; those of the Baron of HOLY shall remain at the current 4 votes.

-That, since the County of Naudia'Diva is no longer under the administration of this Duchy, it cannot rightfully hold the name for its own use. Therefore, the name of Naudia'Diva shall henceforth be used as a temporary name only, till a more appropriate name is chosen.

-That, nevertheless, in respect of the Naudia'Divan culture and that of the Priests of Horjin and the Hunters of the Stag, there is a certain responsibility on the part of this Duchy to see that the County and its unique characteristics are not despoiled, and are treated with respect by all of Shireroth.

-That, during my reign as Duke, Duchal Decrees shall cease to be numbered from a given first decree, but instead shall be numbered by the date according to the ASC calendar, to be referred to in full as the "Duchal Decree of XXXX ASC", where XXXX represents the year; this may be abbreviated to the form "DDXXXX". In the event that two or more decrees are made within the same ASC year, the first shall be retroactively labeled "the First Duchal Decree of XXXX ASC", with subsequent decrees being known as the Second, the Third, and so on. These may be abbreviated in the form "DDXXXX.1", "DDXXXX.2", etc.

-That a redefinition of the nature of this Duchy is seriously needed, having little to distinguish itself from the other Duchies and make itself attractive to immigration.

I did a doubletake just seeing the banner for this place. Actually had to reopen the window and come back to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

As much as this pleases me that Yardistan exists again, it exists in a form that still makes me a sad panda. Not until the fuedal reforms are repealed and a better system instituted will I feel that former Yardistan can exist again.

And I don't know if Shyriath's crazy enough to be duke yet. He'll just have to prove his loyalty to chaos through a monumental act of confusion.

Indeed so. For I am by nature a timid, peace-loving creature of the woods; and I shall have to work hard to find my inner Yardistani. But I think I may have an idea for just that kind of act...
