Ideas for things to do / jobs / project wanted

Right. You know we have problems. The problem is that I can't think of all of them myself.
The main thing is that we need stuff to do. So place all of y our general ideas about what things we should do (or what YOU want to do), what jobs we need or you want, or what the same with projects and the like. I'm getting a little predictable in my wording here.
But you know what I mean. This Kaisership is more than just myself here, so come up with an idea and post it here!

I think there should be a library of all previous micronational documents, images, et cetera. Stars know we all have enough of them saved on our hard drives. Not something like the Wiki, which is a nice pre-sorted encyclopedia, but ten bajillion primary sources. It would have to go via MORE and via our webspace, but it'd be a nice project and fun to run and we could get the other countries in on it also.
Just an example of the sort of stuff I would have to offer such a place:

I got another thing for someone to do. MicroWiki. When Fax was still here, he had placed individual decrees in their own articles. For example, see
http://www.shireroth.org/wiki/index.php ... Decree_222 . The last decree created there was #225. We're up to 233. Get to it.
I technically think that it's part of the Imperial Scribe job, which Fax had, so whoever wants to do it gets the job.

What Scott has mentioned me and Vehendi have already begun to do with the new Apollo Foundation archives.
One of the new ideas (that Vehendi came up with) was to convert all the old EZBoards to php and back them up on my server, which we've begun to do.
In addition to this, I've been going around and saving everything I can find of old micronations - the whole websites, html, images, everything - and indexing them for future upload to a vast "microbase" archive on the Foundation.
I'd much prefer to centralise all this archiving into the Foundation, as what Scott is suggesting encompasses much more than the MicroWiki. Not to mention I have the space for it on my server.

I definitely think we need to fill in our history, if Shyriath would be willing to help. It is somewhat chilling to go through the list of fictional Kaisers and see that most of them, apparently, did nothing. Also, I find that there are many issues and people which deserve wiki articles but don't have them. This is part of the reason I set up the BISI, but without anyone to run it..

Filling up the history is an absolutely huge job, especially since it needs to take into account Apollonian history...

Perhaps Your Excellency could grant royal edorsement...?

Oh, they did stuff. It just hasn't been thought of yet.
But the Kaiser is quite correct here; it is a very, very large series of holes to fill. Especially since it's not just the reigns of Kaisers that must be recounted... a really good history has to take into account the many factors that can affect the course of events. The reigns of leaders, yes, but also the movements of the people, the vagaries of weather and climate, disturbances from both internal unrest and external invasion.
Unfortunately, to get that kind of fleshing-out in any reasonable amount of time, you need many people coming up with ideas, debating them, reconciling them. This hasn't proven a particularly popular pastime, unfortunately.
And, like Bill says, there's Apollonian stuff to work in there too, and getting two well-established histories to mesh presents its own problems.

I'd be willing to help out with the history with Shyriath.

I think, with at least the three of us cooperating, it wouldn't be such a crushing labor.

Agreed! But that means Shyriath being more active. :P

Yeah, there's that..

I think we can pull it off, though.

Together, we shall form... THE H TEAM! Dedicated to staving off inactivity and being all historical... and... stuff...

NO farting in the Atheneum!
But, yes, with the help of Clio, we shall succeed!

That was different. I was Kaiser then. Kaiser's all nearly all-powerfull.
