Foundation Day Speech

To all loyal citizens of Shireroth, past and present, and our esteemed guests: Welcome!
Six years ago today, a man with great vision, love, and passion founded a small nation called... Shireroth! His name was Erik Metzler. Little did he (or anyone!) know that what started as a small micronation amongst giants like Jasonia and Tymaria would one day become a giant itself! We should look with pride that we have lasted this long, but never should we forget that the future lies in what is ahead, not what is behind us. Nor should we forget that the future is made by taking risks and making changes.
But what IS the reason Shireroth has lasted so long? Friendship, and the feeling of belonging that we find here. Let us never forget that! Too each and every one of you, I tell you that I am *proud* to call you friend, and I know that whenever anyone asks me what a "Shireroth" is, I can proudly point to one of the few places in this life I can call home.
