Recwar with Antica?

Who's interested and why?
Me? Interested. Why? I want to write a story, moreso than winning.
I was talking with Steve and we came up with the idea that Antica will eventually win, but we get to nuke them. I like this idea, and I think we'd be the first.
Opinions?

Nuke them? As in, actual nukes?
Hey, you better at least let me look at the plans. And begin cranking out Ravenclaws, of course. And begin developing an AWACS. And other planes...
*begins schemi-I mean planning*
Too bad I'll be gone for the next two or three days. I could really use the time to begin research.

Gods, I'm CoSSAF, but I'll aslo be a citizen of Antica in a few weeks..

Nah. I won't be participating in it.

I'm all for it - but you don't get to be a spy, Baldwin.

Well, if it's a recwar, I suppose it would all be in good fun and nobody would really mind if I fulfilled my duties here. (What sort of terms are you planning on giving the Anticans?)

Well, ordinarily, I'd go with "Surrender or Die," but seeing as it's Antica, I'm thinking "Renounce your claim on *blah land* or be invaded by the teeming hordes of Cedrism!"

Steven told you that you can nuke Antica?

Why not?
The bigger and more complex the war, the better!

I presume I'll be allowed to write at least one attack?

Not Antica, Jaris. And it's in the works. Most likely it will change.

I presume I'll be allowed to write at least one attack?
That is indeed the plan.

Excellent. I shall enjoy unleashing the awesome power of our fleets upon Jaris. (You know, if you wanted to, we could limit the battlefield to just that one island.)

Shall we get this underway then? I believe our side is prepared.

Wait, wait, wait, wait...this isn't at all formalized yet. Have we agreed on where attacks are to be posted? Have we worked out the scope and extent of the battlefield? Have we decided who gets to attack first?! Or how many men each side has?!

We haven't decided anything yet, so lets not jump the gun.

I suggest that the field of battle should be Shirerithian Antica and Republican Antica, and the water that may separate their constituent parts.

Sounds good to me.

Very good. Now, weapon set. May I suggest WW II or Korean war era weaponry?

Intriguing! Excellent choices.

I'd say early Korean War, so anything from WWII and early Korea should be viable options.

I'm going to go ahead and assume direct command of the 14th Fighter Wing for the war, I think - you're in charge overall.
We'll be flying P-51D Mustangs and P-38J Lightnings, if that works out ok.

Whoa. Whoa. What's up with this? Backtracking the technology? Why?
Posted: Fri Apr 14, 2006 1:42 pm
by Braden Indianensis
Because it's intellectually-satisfying.

Although it makes JASO useless.

by Jupiter
Well, not really. Early Korean war is right about when we started making decent Jets - or just before it.
That pretty much means JASO/ASTRO/DoRC/I needs to come up with a superior jet-driven aircraft for us to win the war with

It still makes JASO useless. The aircraft designed is useless if we consistantly use past warfare technology.

Be that as it may, my intellect has not been so satisfied in such a long while.

*can't resist himself*
you have an intellect?

It still makes JASO useless. The aircraft designed is useless if we consistantly use past warfare technology.
But it creates military CULTURE! ;-)
