Trans-Shireroth Railroad

Gotzborg is doing some wonderful things with railroads in their forums, and looking at our map, I don't see why we can't also. I envision the most ambitious project of all - a railway from Nigrad to Ergo Sum, crossing Micras' largest continent without ever leaving Shirerithian territory.

Such a railroad would allow us to directly ship goods from one end of the continent to the other overland, bypassing the Babkhan-controlled Dyre Straits and sometimes-hostile Republic of Antica. It would also help bring commerce to the underdeveloped areas of inner Kildare and west Antica, and have immense military value.

If we end up giving up Cognito because of the problems with the MCS, we can cut back on the scale of the project and have the eastern terminal at Liminas or one of the Kaikian cities.

Here's a sketch:

In the interests of commerce, I would like to see a second branch fork off at Curragh, run through Natio, KF City, Lamantia and all the way up to Port Nevermore.

Perhaps local railroads could branch off?

I think we need a street plan of Shirekeep, and then set up public transit systems.

I want to make a street plan of Shireroth! I'm just waiting until I can get a decent program...I was thinking of seeing if I could get a SC2K Urban Renewal Kit cheap.

Excellent idea! And if you can't find the program, you could just create a semi-crappy version using Paint.
