So..After my 6:00 class on Mondays and wednesdays my classmates and i usually stand outside the cassroom for a few minutes talking, watching the 8:00 class come in. Now as im talking, some random girl from 8:00 class who i've never met before, grabs my hat off of my head puts it on hers and continues to walk into the classroom. "What the fuck?" i think to myself. I tried to get it back but she pulled all this tae kwon do shit on me. But i got it back and then thought "Ok, that was fun. Ha Ha, good joke." But as im walking away she drops her stuff and starts chasing me everywhere just to get the damn hat back. I ended up having to abuse her (which i think was fair because she kept kicking me, dammit.) And people were staring the whole time. Now i don't know about anyone else, but to me that was really fucking wierd. If this is a normal thing, please let me know.

Yes. Yes it is. But it's still not the strangest (or most forward) way I've ever seen.

Ahh yes, the ritual known as The Taking of the Hat. Perfectly common. Perhaps you've heard the phrase "Man, she totally wants your hat?" No metaphore there at all: it literally means your headgear is likely to get snatched right off the top of your head.

But yes, in some weird way she was proly testing your masculinity, seeing if you'de fight back. She proly likes strong men, who will fight with her. Be cautious however. If you leave marks and she's nuts or something.... or a bitch... you could get in trouble...

I have seen this happen as well (specifically, with Mike's fedora and a very cute girl named Sarah who was working with us at Rocky), though without the kicking. Usually it's restricted to careful dodging and giggling. And there is usually other flirting going on as well.

This girl sounds pretty weird, but probably interested.

You see, I'd concur with the "she wants you" analysis, if it weren't for the whole kicking/violent thing. I could get the stealing of the hat (though I echo that I wish girls would give me that kind of attention), but I'm not so sure about the violence.

Was the hat silly? If not, she was just following the law.

No, I would need hair that actually goes straight sometimes if you do enough stuff to it, something the gods have seen fit to deny me.

Use more conditioner and don't quite rinse it out fully, and your hair might obey you now and then. Your hair seems to be the type that gets very out of control when it's dry (from the best I can tell, from the few times I've seen you). There are also straightening products, but those are more work.
