*H4773r enters a large drawing room with mirrors, paintings of cards, numerous chess sets and many tea services about the room. He addresses those in the room*

A new tradition in Upper Lunaris I brought from my homeland is that of the Tea Party. It seemes to be a huge hit with the locals seeing as they used to have salons along the same vein. I merely put a little twist on it and the new trend spread throughout the county like wildfire....

So, I invite all who wish to attend to this very Tea Party.

*picks up a tarty tart and takes a bite* mmmmm odd berry.

The opening topic will be.....

How is a Raven like a Writting desk?

*raises hand, puts it back down. Raises it back up again, puts it back down again.*

Edgar Allan Pe wrote on both. :demon

Now did ya know that the phrase "mad as a hatter" comes from hatmakers' excessive expoure to methyl mercury in the hatmaking process? The stuff, if it doesn't kill you, sends you absolutely loopy... :smashy

Not only did Poe write in both, they are both inky and have bills.

And I am VERY aware of the mercury leading to complications in one personality. but none worse for the wear :D :rolleyes

*offers Eriana a sphere of sugar.*
Speaking of Poe, have any of you read "Te Angel of te Odd" or this other story about an "unusual" nut house in the south of france?

How is a raven like a writing desk? They're both instill fear in people. *nods*

[Walks into room on the ceiling. Walks out again. Comes back in. Descends the wall and joins in tea party.]

[Someone offers half a cup (literally) of Celestial Seasonings.]

Now, let's not be silly! This is a very lovely drawing room. I never quite knew what the purpose of a drawing room was.. I guess it's to have tea in...though in Antica we usually just use the parlor for tea. It's rather more intimate. This could be intimate too, though...I say, in order to make the drawing room more intimate, we must

BURN THE HOUSE DOWN!

I second the motion, all in favor say aye!

I don't know about the Upper Lands, but down south it's generally advised to seek the owner's consent before you burn down his house. 9 out of 10 times he'll agree to it, but it's considered rude to torch his dwelling arbitrarily.

But that's in the Lower Lands, I don't know how it is up here.

[Strikes one of Krasny's matches and lights the drawing room curtains on fire.]

AYE!!!

Now that we're sitting in the middle of a burning (and increasingly-smoky) drawing room, let's have a caucus race!

But first, CLEAN CUP! MOOOVE DOOOWWWNNNN!

*cuts another cup in half and spikes a few drinks*

Mmmmm... The smell of smoke in the morning... I knew there was something I missed about Shireroth. :demon

* a dragon nose sticks in to the room braking a window. Eri pours a very large bowl of tea wich the Dragon happily begins to sip in a suprisingly manerly way. As it does Eri takes a seat on it's nose in perfect poise looking as though it was a perfectly natural unmooving couch.*

Anyone for a scone?

Eriana, that dragon's not even firebreathing at the moment! You'll never get dry that way. Come back inside the blistering inferno that is the drawing room. Why, I'm dry as a bone already!

*I sit back watching Eri perched upon the dragon while Angel, Krasniy, and Baldwin run around in circles as my drawing room begins to reach unbearable temperatures from the mirrors becomeing superheated.*

Ah lovely. just like the ones we had back home.... oh. last time we burned down an abode was when the white knight invented a toaster... ah yes...

ooh! *notices the flames starting to kiss his Hat*

well, then, *standing up and putting down his cup and biscuit*

Thank you all for coming. *Grins wide. And wider. The room darkens and I seem to grow to ten plus feet. My form seems to disapeer and the room gows completely black. Only the glow of my cheshire grin and The Hat bathing in its light is seen.

The grin says* A little trick a friend taught me.

*Suddenly the entire room is returned to normal. No marks of fire, all the cups are whole, and theres french doors where the dragon has stuck his nose in so that no damage has been caused*

When one plans a tea party they should be prepaired to clean up the mess. But thank you all again for coming. I hope you return for the next and please visit the gift shop on your way out.

*holds up a shirt that reads "I survived H4773rs Tea Party and all I got was a lump"*
